Disney+ has classic and original content for fans of Disney shows and movies.

There are original shows and films, plus a lot of great Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and National Geographic media to stream. There’s a lot coming to the service in the future, but there are also a few things that never arrived.
Today, we’re taking a look at all the canceled Disney+ series so far!
Muppets Live Another Day
A new Muppet-centric show called Muppets Live Another Day was once in the works for Disney+. The show was to be developed by Josh Gad, who plays Olaf in the Frozen franchise and live-action Lefou in Beauty and the Beast, along with Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, creators of Once Upon A Time.

The show was set to be a sequel to the movie The Muppets Take Manhattan, but issues arose surrounding the creative direction of the series. Gad, Horowitz, and Kitsis stepped down from the task, and ultimately, we got the show Muppets Now instead!

Four Dads
At the same time that Muppets Live Another Day was canceled, Disney also announced the cancellation of Four Dads. The series came from the creators of Modern Family and was supposed to be the story of two men who divorced and remarried, following them through the trials of co-parenting their teenage daughters.

The show had received a pilot order, but it was scrapped. Ultimately, viewers were never given a reason as to why this one was canceled.
Book of Enchantment
One of the most notable canceled Disney+ shows was Book of Enchantment, a series that was supposed to tell the stories of Disney’s villains. It was based on the Villains book series by author Serena Valentino and would’ve followed the tales of characters like Ursula, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil.

It was canceled in pre-production before Disney+ was launched because the company was concerned that the show would be too dark. It was going to be about villains, after all!

The Untitled Tron Series
When it was announced that Bob Chapek would be taking over as CEO of the Walt Disney Company, an untitled Tron TV series was also discussed. No detailed information was given, or even a title for the show.

The series was scrapped without any real reasoning, but the third film installment is still reportedly happening. Plus, we’re getting the Tron coaster at Magic Kingdom, although we’re not sure when it will be opening.
The Lizzie McGuire Reboot
When fans of the original show heard that Lizzie McGuire would be getting a reboot, they were thrilled. Hilary Duff herself signed on to come back as Lizzie, and the show was supposed to follow her as an adult.

HILARY DUFF, ADAM LAMBERG
Unfortunately, the creators of the show couldn’t agree with Disney on the content. Duff and writer Terri Minsky wanted the series to have adult themes, while Disney wanted it to be family-friendly. Ultimately, Hilary Duff announced that the show was canceled in an Instagram post.
