Disney World has cut back on some of its previously planned projects and suspended others indefinitely.

Among these suspensions, Disney announced that Primeval Whirl in Disney’s Animal Kingdom would close. We’ve been visiting DinoLand, USA to note any construction updates on the now-closed attraction. We noticed that the ride vehicles had gone missing and we’ve got confirmation that the cars are being relocated.
Photos of the ride vehicles were sent by a follower of Disney Food Blog, Julie Raad-Peay. The photos show a large truck loaded with Primeval Whirl cars and hauling them down the road near Disney World.

Disney has reused attraction pieces for other rides in the past. It’s not clear where the vehicles will be relocated to or if they will be reused for another attraction.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on the closure of Primeval Whirl and more attractions in the future!

This was one of my kids favorite rides, oh well Disney is not quite what it use to be, so no surprise.

You never would have seen this 20 years ago. Disney was unique then. They would do this at night to keep the magic and mystique alive. Now it is like 6 Flags. They just don’t care anymore. It’s sad that they have become just another theme park instead of setting the bar so high.
I will miss it. Mouse type coasters are few and far betwwen.
Goodbye and good riddance, Primeval Whirl! A bumpy uncomfortable ride. Just like Mission Space, this was a poor choice. We don’t like dizzy. We don’t like bumpy. We don’t want to come off an attraction and head for Urgent Care. We love Soarin, Mickeys Runaway Railway, all the Disney Mountain rides. New technology has opened up a whole new world of ideas. There are great attractions in many overseas Disney Parks. Bring them here!!
I will miss it, it was a silly carnival type ride, but always made us laugh. I hope they clean the whole area up soon, it’s been a eyesore since reopening,
