Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa just opened a new walkway to the Magic Kingdom, giving guests another option to get to the park.
Now, guests staying at the Grand Floridian, as well as Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, have the option to walk to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom. This sounds like a scenic and convenient option, but how long will it actually take?
The walking times between the resorts and the Magic Kingdom have been estimated, thanks to @bioreconstruct on Twitter!

If guests choose to walk from Magic Kingdom security all the way to the Transporation and Ticket Center, it will take approximately 32 minutes.
The new walkway will allow guests at the Polynesian Village Resort to walk to the Magic Kingdom, which will take approximately 25 minutes. It’s important to note that some of the paths near this resort can be a little difficult to follow at night, so keep that in mind!
For those departing from the Grand Floridian, the walk to the Magic Kingdom can take approximately between 12 and 16 minutes depending on what section of the resort you’re coming from.
These times are just estimates and the average guest will likely take a bit longer for photo-ops and taking the time to experience the ambiance around them! We’re definitely excited about this new option to get around some of Disney’s monorail resorts. Check back with us for more updates about Disney Parks!

And now we can also walk to MK from Shades of Green!
Might end up being one of my favorites, next to walk around Cresent Lake.
