NEWS! Disney World Annual Passholders Were Unexpectedly Charged 4 Months of Payments Today!

UPDATE: A Disney Cast Member has confirmed that this was in fact a glitch. For those affected, you can call (888) 701-4100, option 3 for the Annual Passholder Monthly Payments help line.

As Annual Passholders get ready to return to Disney World, there have been plenty of details released regarding their passes.

Passholder Magnet

Annual Passholders currently have the ability to extend their expiration dates by contacting Disney directly. However, while payment timelines were changed due to the closures, some Passholders were unexpectedly charged for four months of payments all at once today.

Although Disney had previously stated that “Payments will resume on the Passholder’s regularly scheduled payment dates once the parks reopen,” some Annual Passholders who pay monthly were charged all four months of payment in a lump payment today.

Since Disney has stated that “Postponed payments will be collected in the months following the end of the Passholder’s currently scheduled payment term,” many guests have been under the impression that Disney would resume regular monthly payments when the parks reopened in July.

From there, it was thought that payments would continue monthly as multiple Cast Members have repeated this information. However, the past four months of payments were charged to numerous Annual Passholders today without warning, despite the previous verbiage.

  1. This was no glitch. Disney is doing it on purpose to hold the money and gain interest on it and then take their sweet time refunding it. They charged me again this month when I already cancelled my pass after the last fiasco!! A billion dollar company charging broke unemployed people. Despicable.

Disney isn’t about *MAGIC* anymore, they are only about MONEY!

It’s so sad because I love Disney and have since I was a child. I grew up on Disney but not until now have I realized how crooked and uncaring they are.

  2. I have been on hold for almost 3 hrs , this is ridiculous. If you know it’s a glitch. Refund money to the people. Especially there is a lot of us with out jobs, no warning not very Disney of you. Still on hold. There has to be a better system than this.

  3. Doubtful this was a “mistake”. With jammed phone lines full of angry passholders noticing, Disney changed its course. 😡

  4. Got hit as well, talked to a cat member via chat and she was useless, started it was an enchantment and they are working on it but have no idea when they would refund the money

  5. We will be cancelling our APs till the future and we got hit too. We are waiting for the early July e-mail blast for info about cancelling but it seems they were planning on charging for July and then refunding in August if I interpret correctly. I am grateful to be allowed to cancel though, at least they gave us that option as we would get nowhere near the normal use of our passes under the new constraints.

  6. I and my daughter were charged for 3 months, date was not extended, and after hours on hold gave up yesterday to find out today they are closed on the weekends at 888-401-7100

  7. They got us, too. For many people, this may put them into overdraft or over credit limit situations. It may result in interest charges too. There’s no excuse for the way Disney has treated APs in recent weeks, and this is the icing on the cake.

  8. Yes, it happened to us as well. Four payments went through without warning. I tried to get through on the phone, but they were so swamped they didn’t even offer me to hold, just, goodbye. I wonder what we will get in return for this “glitch”?
