Why Disney Adults Are RUNNING To Coronado Springs Resort on August 29th

A major weekend is on deck for Disney fans!

From August 29th through the 31st, Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort will host the 2025 Destination D23 Event. The weekend will be full of Disney nostalgia and breaking news alike — as someone who has been steeped in following the developments of Disney’s parks for over 30 years, I’m hoping for more information on the Villains Land coming to the Magic Kingdom — across three days of events. These include panels, appearances, signings, the exclusive Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon, an 80s/90s celebration concert, and… SHOPPING.

This year, D23 will offer timed shopping spree events for ticket holders at Coronado Springs beginning on the 29th.

This year’s store offerings include:

• The Walt Disney Company Store, which will offer official Destination D23 merchandise and new D23 Member-exclusive items, and other unique merchandise. According to Disney, limited-edition trading pins for this event will be offered to attendees exclusively through a Random Selection Process (RSP) opportunity.”
• Mickey’s of Glendale, the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store, returns to the event as a pop-up shop featuring specialty merchandise! Trading pins for this event will also be offered to attendees through an RSP opportunity.
• Disney Studio Store Hollywood will bring the “magic of Tinseltown” to a Florida Destination D23 event. This pop-up will offer new apparel, accessories, and pins!  Once again, limited-edition trading pins for this event will be offered to attendees through an RSP opportunity.
• Ink & Paint Marketplace is also returning to Destination D23, and will feature an assortment from “fan favorite brands and friends of Disney, including” Lug.

D23 ticketholders will have “priority access to these shopping experiences throughout the weekend.” D23 Gold Members who do not have tickets to the sold-out event can purchase tickets to participate in this separate, specially ticketed shopping experience on the 30th and 31st.
