We have a lot of big-time professional and college games coming up this fall and winter — not to mention the Olympics Games next summer! Pretty soon we’ll be watching classic rivalries, conference championships, and 30+ bowl games; the NHL and NBA seasons will kick off;Â and the NFL will finish out its season and head toward playoffs. And this is all before we talk about college basketball, which closes with March Madness just as MLB is opening their spring training season!
Phew — we’re tired just thinking about all of that! Where’s our water boy? But the bigger question is: with SO MANY games to watch, where do we watch them at Walt Disney World?
Turns out there are quite a few places in the World where you can catch the game (along with a drink and meal!).
ESPN Club
We’ll get the obvious one out of the way! This Boardwalk Inn fixture is home to dozens of tv screens in the dining room and bar (not to mention in the restrooms!!). You should be able to find your team on one of the TVs while you enjoy a drink along with apps and a meal.
Depending on the outcome, you can either celebrate your victory or drown your sorrows in an ice cream from ESPN’s neighbor, Ample Hills Creamery!
Coronado Springs’ Rix Sports Bar and Grill
With a name like Rix Sports Bar and Grill, the recently re-imagined Rix Lounge in Coronado Springs can be your new game-watching destination.
The menu is similar to any sports bar. You’ll find burgers, sandwiches, apps, and (of course) drinks here. Plus, at half time or when the game is over, you can check out the new Gran Destino Tower and get an after-battle gin tonic at Barcelona Lounge!
Yacht Club’s Crews Cup Lounge
The Yacht Club’s Crew Cup Lounge is home to several TVs that are usually broadcasting the big game. This is not large, so be sure to get there before the game to nab a table or chair so you don’t miss the game.
In addition to being a cozy place to watch the game you can nosh on those prime rib sliders on the Yachtsman Steakhouse‘s delicious onion rolls!
Wilderness Lodge’s Geyser Point Bar & Grill
Wilderness Lodge’s Geyser Point is a great place to catch the game! In addition to several TVs, the atmosphere is unique and can’t be beat.
Plus, how often can you enjoy the game while eating a Bison Burger with an active geyser nearby?
Splitsville Luxury Lanes
Disney Springs’ Splitsville is home to an outdoor bar, numerous indoor bars on two floors, and of course lots of TV screens!
Plus you can even bowl while watching the game as you enjoy a drink out of a souvenir cup shaped like a bowling pin! That’s a Disney-fied hat trick!
NBA Experience
You can check the score and follow your NBA team on the screens at the recently-opened NBA Experience. If you want to be a part of the action, be sure to check out the NBA Experience itself — learn about our opening day experience!
Support your team, win or lose, with some new team shirts, hats, tumblers, and more as you shop in the NBA Experience shop.
Another spot to consider is ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill. Be sure to check the hours for ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill since its hours are limited and can change depending on events at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
