On January 23, 2013, the Disney Parks blog announced a new interactive guest adventure for the Magic Kingdom called A Pirates Adventure: Treasure of the Seven Seas. At the time, the opening was projected for “spring”. In today’s update the blog says “summer”.
Today the Disney Parks Blog provided a video of Imagineers Jonathan Ackley and Matt Beiler sharing some of the special effects guests will encounter as they are on the adventure.
You play the role of the pirate and save Adventureland. There are 5 different pirate raids you can play. Similar to the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, you will be given a map (different for each raid) and this time, a talisman.
The Disney Parks blog promises more updates as the official opening gets closer.
