Diffusion Filters Soften the Scene

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

Call me old school if you’d like but as I lean more towards traditional photography, this week’s theme was my idea. While nowadays you can use computer software to easily manipulate images there’s nothing quite like creating a specific look and feel to an image the moment you hit the shutter button. One way to change the look of a photo is to use filters. Circular filters screw onto the front of SLR lenses.

Taken from across Crescent Lake of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort with a diffusion filter to soften the entire image gives reflections and the moon an aetherial sensation.
