2010 Food And Wine Festival Merchandise – Part 2

As I mentioned in Part 1 of my 2010 Food and Wine Festival Merchandise blog, the Food and Wine Festival is not just about food and wine. For those who like to shop and can’t get enough Disney merchandise, there’s a lot of great Food and Wine items for sale.

In part one I covered the merchandise that’s for sale in the two Festival Shops that are located in the World Showcase. This blog will take you inside the Festival Welcome Center and show you the items that you can purchase there.

The Food and Wine Festival Welcome Center is located in the Wonders of Life pavilion. For those who don’t know, that pavilion is located in Future World between Universe of Energy and Mission: Space.

Inside the Festival Welcome Center there are three shopping areas. A Festival Merchandise Shop, Tasteful Chapters and The Cellar.

In “The Cellar” you can find all kinds of wines, beers and other types of alcohol.

There was a pretty good selection of wines and were reasonably prices. The bottles of wine started at $10.95 and went up from there. I didn’t see any really expensive wines. The most expensive wine I saw was in the $50.00 range.

The also quite a collection of beers on sale. Most cost $5.25 for a standard 12 oz bottle of beer. There were eight different types of Samuel Adams along with beers like Longboard Island Larger, Purple Haze, Key West Sunset Ale and Full Sail Amber.

Besides wine and beer, they also had a selection of rums, tequilas and sangrias for sale.

Assorted spirits

As you may imagine at “Tasteful Chapters” is where you will find books on cooking for sale. The price of the books were comparable to what you would pay at a Barnes and Noble. Most books were in the $25.00 and up range.

Here’s a few close ups of some of the books for sale. Many of the books are those of famous chefs and others on cheeses, Cajun cooking and cooking with beer. There even was a diet book; not sure how that go in there. Anyway, I’ve seen many of the same books they’re selling here on sale in Downtown Disney.

There was also a selection of Savannah Bee honey for sale:

The Festival Merchandise shop had all the same 2010 Food & Wine Festival merchandise as the Festival Shops in World Showcase. (See Part 1 of this blog to see pictures and prices of those items.) In addition, it had a large selection of non-Food & Wine Festival cooking and kitchen related Disney items. All of those items are on sale in Downtown Disney and many of the theme park shops.

SPOILER ALERT: As I mentioned in Part 1 there is a hidden Mickey on the Food and Wine poster. Near the bottom of the poster there is a basket with two bottles in it. The bottle to the left has a hidden Mickey on the bottle.

Here’s a close up of the hidden Mickey. Pretty neat, huh?
