I always thought it was weird that they had these kind of ugly green metal boxes across from France on the wall of the lagoon. What an odd place for some sort of utility box. Usually Disney hides that kind of stuff backstage, or disguises it somehow. Then I got to go to Paris a couple years ago and finally, I understood.
Epcot’s France was influenced by Paris. In Paris, inside these boxes are entire stores that are unpacked in the morning and then packed away again at night. The bouquinistes (riverside vendors) who own the boxes sell books, prints, watercolors, and some touristy trinkets. The boxes are all painted the same green color and sit right on the walls that overlook the Seine in Paris.
Ed Aleszczyk was the first to send in the correct answer for the challenge! Please do not post answers using the Feedback Form link at the bottom of this post. Remember to be specific with your answer – just naming a park will not get you into the drawing.
