After the faux French atmosphere at Les Chef de Paris, I was hesitant to eat at Be Our Guest because it also might be overdone and too touristy. But it was the new restaurant, and I could not leave Disney World without trying what was new! What a fun place! We were honeymooning and was seating in the “most romantic” room our waitress said, the Grand Ballroom. We had a private table in the corner away from much of the noise. (Note: This is a very very popular place for families so it is not very peaceful.). The other option is the Beast’s study where the rose and ripped portrait is located. Very close to visit, but my small cousins might be scared of the roars and the dark décor. Parents may want to request the main dining room. The food was delicious, and we were gifted with a soft fluff plate of dessert mouse called the “Grey Stuff” for free. My husband was warmed by this gesture for he was a far of the late, Jerry Orbach who played Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast. “Try the Grey Stuff It’s Delicious” are song lyrics from the song “Be Our Guest.”

After the meal, we were whisked into the library to pose with ‘The Master” – the beast. I would suggest to the restaurant to lighten that room up a bit. Our photos (even by the professional Disney photographer) were too dark to see us and The Beast.

One other note, guests cannot just tour the establishment. You must have a reservation to enter. They are very stern about this policy

Pros:

fun and creative. looks just like the movie

Cons:

All our pictures of the Beast were too dark - even the ones by the professional Disney photographer

On our annual trip to WDW we dined here the last week of June, had Dining Reservations(party of 8), and tho they were pretty packed we were seated in under 10 minutes. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and the food was very good, between the 8 of us we had Mussels, French Onion Soup, Pork Rack Chop, Salmon and the Strip Steak, and not a complaint amongst us. We were on the Tables in Wonderland, but, still thought the $280.00 tab was a pretty good deal for 8 of us, which also included a few drinks. Also a nice touch having our group picture taken after Dinner with The Beast in his Sitting Room.

Pros:

Atmosphere--Good Food--Da BEAST

Cons:

none

Our daughter wanted to eat here for her birthday & our whole family (3 teens, 2 parents) really enjoyed this meal experience. We were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation time. Mother nature provided black clouds, thunder & lightening, to add to the atmosphere as we waited on the bridge 🙂 Our table was in the main ballroom, which was incredibly detailed and just beautiful. Our server was excellent. All 5 of us ordered the strip steak - it was delicious. We tried a variety of cupcakes for desert - yummy. Our daughter was presented with the grey stuff and a birthday card signed by Belle and the Beast. Though she is 13 now, this still tickled her inner princess! The entire meal, plus visiting Beast for pictures afterward, took 1 hr. 15 min.
The only negative for us was price. We were on the dining plan, thank goodness, but still were a little shocked to see the bill. 5 entrees, 5 iced teas, and 5 cupcakes came to $235 plus tip (20% for excellent service = $47). Total out of pocket expense for this meal would have been $282. I know it's Disney... but the expense takes the edge off of the magic. For this reason only, we probably will not return. So glad to have done it once, though -- our daughter could not stop smiling!

Pros:

Service, atmosphere, food, experience

Cons:

cost

This was the highlight of our July trip. Food was excellent, servers were beyond nice, decor is beyond our imagination!!

To start, DD(7) was afraid to eat in the West Wing. When the line started to form for lunch, I asked the podium to confirm my dinner reservation and asked if we could sit in the main ballroom. CM were more than happy to help.

When we checked in, I again confirmed that we not be seated in the West Wing, again CM said not a problem. Only needed to wait 10 minutes to be seated for our 5:30 reservation. Upon our greeting, the hostess told DD that the Beast reserved a very special table for her - next to the windows to watch the snow!!! Needless to say, CM sprinkled pixie dust!!

On to the food - excellent. DD had the kids steak with french fries & green beans - she made a clean plate. DH had the steak - and enjoyed it. I had the pork chop - so moist. Then the dessert cart is rolled to your table. We had 2 Chocolate cupcakes & the lemon cupcake - both were great!!

Our server was so friendly & drinks were refilled quickly. She also brought the "Grey Stuff" to DD as we were celebrating.

I am so glad that Disney if offering these great choices for the kids menu.

After we finished, the server said to check out all the rooms & make sure to see t he Beast before we leave. So glad the CM seated us in the main ballroom - the West Wing was very dark & DD would not have enjoyed herself.

We can't wait to eat here on our next trip!!!

Pros:

everything

Cons:

West Wing very dark

We were seated in the West Wing which was beautiful, although a little scary the 3 year old in our party. My only complaint about the seating was that we were told the 10 of us could not be seated together. I understand this - we were told this was a possibility when I made the ADR. However, not 5 minutes after we were seated, a party of 10 was seated RIGHT next to us...kind of disappointing.
The food was amazing. I had the pork rack which was our favorite meal on the table. My husband and children all had steak. They all loved the steak but all agreed that the fries were too salty. If we go again I think I would ask for the fries without the salt. The only food that I would not suggest was the French Onion soup. It was just fair - the broth didn't have a very rich beefy taste. I read that it has more of a vegetarian broth and that may be why I didn't care for it - others may love it because of that! As for deserts, we all tried something different and loved them all. We also had the chance to try the grey stuff (yes it was delicious) because it was my son's birthday. Overall I would absolutely return to BOG - our favorite meal of the trip!

Pros:

food was amazing, wine list, great service, chance to see Beast

Cons:

wouldn't sit our large party together

From what I could see, my food looked good. It tasted great. Service was outstanding. Didn't like the fact that while I was trying to eat people were banging into my chair trying to take pictures. I guess that goes with the territory. The potato leak soup was excellent.

Pros:

service and good

Cons:

way too dark in the west wing, loud

Well! It was worth getting up at 7:00AM...180 days before we arrivED' in WDW to make this reservation. This place is unbelievable. Bring your camera for the pictures as you're leaving. You'll get a photo op with the 'Character of the Night' on your way out. More on that later. We ate here on July 2nd. When we got to the podium I requstED' to be seatED' in the Ballroom. At first it didn't look good, but once I showED' him a picture of my DD playing Chip' in her high school play he smilED' and his request for us became reality. We were seatED' in the very back of the room and our table was next to the windows where it was snowing. Beautiful scene. Then Yvonne came into our lives, who is from Germany but for this special night she was serving us in France. My DW, DD and myself fell in love with the steak & fries. They gave my DD the 'Grey Stuff'! We all triED' it and it WAS delicious. It was a treat for her graduating high school. The desert cart was rollED' over and the selection was AWESOME and tasty too. Forget taking pics or videos in the room. It's dark and romantic and photo un-friendly. Before I forget, the greeter who seatED' us ( I don't know his name ) went beyond my expectations. After giving us a autograph from Belle and the Beast, he took my DD's Chip' pic and her playbill I brought from NJ and came back with them signED' by the BEAST". Way to go Disney! I'm trying to keep this short but over our 12 day stay this was it. The Night to REMEMBER! As we exitED', we stoppED' in the side room to get a picture of Allison (DD) and the Beast. While my DW (Cathy) took the stills, I videoED' Allison DANCING with the Host of HOSTS himself. The BEAST! Who really is just a sweet-heart. It's now our #1 restaurant. It was well worth the DDP swipe. Between me and you it was worth 3 swipes...but don't tell them. "JUST DO IT"!!!

Pros:

EVERYTHING!

Cons:

NOTHING!

Ate here on our last night, 6/13. Definitely worth going for just the atmosphere as it was just like out of the movie. Positives were that we arrived 15 minutes early, and we were seated almost immediately. I ordered the shrimp and scallops, and it was wonderful! My husband and oldest daughter order the steak, and they thought it was okay. Their fries were too salty. My youngest daughter ordered the the fish, and I even thought it was too fishy if you know what I mean. The cupcakes were wonderful. Got to spend lots of time with the beast upon our departure. Would recommend just for the atmosphere. One of our cheaper meals for a table service during the week. We chose not to do dining plan this time as our 3 and 6 year olds don't often eat enough to justify the dining plan.

Pros:

atmosphere

Cons:

food okay, ballroom very loud....

I think I set myself up for an unbelievable meal or expectation of what I thought the experience would be like...it just didn't do anything for me. The restaurant is beautiful. The west wing was right out of the movie which is very cool to see. That in itself is worth taking a peak however, I won't be returning. This was a one and done for me. I ordered the strip steak. It tasted like I cooked it on the grill at home. It was good but not great. It was tender but not melt in mouth great. It was ok. The strawberry cheesecake for dessert was just ok too. We sampled the soup, that was just ok. Service was ok. It wasn't that it was bad. The food was passable It was a bit of a let down. Again...maybe I went thinking that this was going to the "the" place on property and it just didn't do it for me. Beast was ok as well def not the best character interaction on property. Other reviewers were wow-ed. I was not.

Pros:

West Wing

Cons:

Did not live up to my expectations

We had a reservation and had only a short wait before being seated. The setting is beautiful. We were seated at a table for 2 in the Ballroom. Our server was fine, not too rushed, not too slow. The food was good- we had pork chop and salmon with passion fruit pastry for dessert. Tables were close together but no worse than other restaurants including some signature dining spots. It was loud due to high ceiling and large number of guests. It felt like being in a dining hall. I am glad we ate here and saw it, but we both agree that we don't want to eat here again.

Pros:

Theming, a beautiful restaruant to see

Cons:

Very busy
