1. Your Shoe Packing Strategy Is All Wrong

You really only need to pack one pair of versatile shoes in your carry-on…or better yet, just wear them on your flight!

HOKA Clifton 10s

You don’t need multiple pairs of shoes — wear a pair that’s versatile and pack the rest in your checked bag. These Hoka Women’s Clifton 10s are plush and comfortable with support that lasts all day. These are our favorite shoes for the parks after hours and miles of testing. They have just the right amount of cushion and keep our feet happy from rope drop to fireworks!

2. Avoid Too Many Toiletries

Bring a few mini toiletries to save space!

Don’t pack all of your toiletries. Only pack the small versions or the things you would NEED if your bag got lost. These Travel Bottles for Toiletries have four leakproof travel-size bottles for shampoo, body wash, and anything else you’d need while away from your checked bag!

3. Your Neighbors Will Thank You for Skipping the Stinky Snacks

Do NOT pack stinky snacks!

Don’t be that guy and bring ramen on a plane!

When we flew out of Singapore, someone brought on an entire bowl of fish ramen! And while it was probably very good ramen, nobody wants to smell that on the airplane! Opt for prepackaged snacks like chips or sweets to keep things friendly with your neighbor.

4. Avoid Thick Coats and Jackets

Bring a light jacket!

Don’t pack your largest jacket in your carry-on bag; it’ll take up too much space. Either wear it or put it in your checked bag. We love this Women’s Lightweight Athletic Jacket because we can easily carry it when we get too hot, but it’s still comfy and helps keep us warm on cold flights.
