We’re begging you not to overlook this Disney World hotel restaurant!

There are tons of great places to eat around Disney World, from the parks to the hotels to Disney Springs. With literally hundreds of options to choose from, it’s no surprise that even some of the best spots can sometimes fly under the radar. But we’re here to make sure you don’t sleep on this seriously underrated restaurant at one of our favorite Disney World hotels!
The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve has lots of great selling points that make it one of our go-to hotels. There’s the massive perk of being able to walk to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, rooms with great views of the fireworks, and access to Disney World Resort perks like Early Theme Park Hours and Extended Evening Hours, for starters. And, to top it all off, the hotel is also home to a major hidden gem restaurant!

The Swan Reserve’s signature restaurant, Amare, specializes in dishes inspired by the tastes of the Mediterranean region, featuring fresh, premium ingredients like seafood, citrus, olive oils, pasta, and pitas.

Plus, they also offer an extensive list of Mediterranean-based wines to round out your dining experience!

We’ve been absolutely blown away by pretty much everything Amare has to offer when we’ve dined there. Before we even got to the food and drinks, we were instantly into the tranquil vibe of the restaurant. The dining room feels light and airy, with lots of wood accents, blue tones, and an open kitchen.

We enjoy sampling lots of different flavors, so we love that Amare offers wine flights that allow you to taste several different Mediterranean wines. We had the Journey through Greece Wine Flight, and it had a great range of different options, perfect for people who appreciate a wide range of wines or are trying to find their new favorite!

They’ve also got some wonderful, unique menu items that were designed in-house! For example, when we ate there, we got Amare’s Signature Ishkabubble Bread for an appetizer. The chef came out to speak with us about the dish, and told us that the name “Ishkabubble” is actually made up — the bread is inspired by traditional Mediterranean cuisine, but not actually something you would find on menus around the area. The dough is specially crafted to be blown up to the size of a basketball, and it comes with three dips for pairing.

All of the food we tried had lots of great flavors, definitely nothing bland or boring that you may think of as stereotypical theme park restaurant food!

We tried the Grilled Souvlaki with Angus Beef Skewers, which was served with your choice of two grilled tender chicken thighs or Angus beef skewers, with crispy potatoes, tabbouleh, mint pesto, cucumber salad, garlic yogurt sauce, harissa-spiced hummus, and warm pita bread. The flavors seriously POPPED, and we could tell that every element of the dish had so much care put into it!

But, if you do have some kids in your group with a pickier palate, don’t worry — Amare also has a section of Kids’ Entrées on the menu, with options like chicken fingers, spaghetti, burgers, and pepperoni or cheese flatbreads.

The food at Amare has a lot to offer in terms of flavor, aroma, and uniqueness, especially within Disney World. It’s heavily Greek-influenced, so if that’s one of your favorite flavor profiles, this is definitely worth a spot on your next trip itinerary!

We also had excellent service when we were there, which capped off the relaxing and zen atmosphere that we felt from the moment we walked inside!

If you’re in search of a nice meal with unique flavors and high-quality ingredients, we recommend giving Amare a try! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so be sure to snag a reservation for your meal of choice.
We’ll continue to share our favorite hidden gems from all around Disney World to make sure you don’t miss out on your next favorite spot, so stick with us at AllEars for more info to help plan your next trip!
