Disney Files 4 New Permits for Hollywood Studios

The Disney World parks are under TONS of construction; it’s hard to walk through any of the parks without seeing walls everywhere.

We know it’s all for the best, and we love experiencing new attractions and experiences in Disney World, but being patient does get a little hard! We keep a close eye on all the latest construction updates in the parks, but we can also get a clue as to what’s happening soon behind those walls, thanks to the permits Disney files. If you’re really looking forward to the updates coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll be happy to know that there are FOUR new permits that were just filed!

There are two major points of construction in Hollywood Studios right now, with another one coming soon in just one month, and these FOUR new permits cover two of those construction sites. Starting off strong, three of the four permits are for work on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster retheme beginning on March 2nd. The first permit is for Electrical Work by Elite A/V System Inc…

…the second permit is for the installation of signage to be done by Sign Producers Inc…

…and the final permit for this area of the park is for more Electrical Work, this time done by SOLOTECH. It’s very likely these projects won’t begin until Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster officially closes, unless the work is being done on the pre-show, which closed back on December 1st, 2025.

The fourth permit is for one of the large construction sites currently in progress, which is where Animation Courtyard is being turned into The Walt Disney Studios. This new permit is so that the company Design Communications Ltd. can install signage in the area.

We love to see these permits, because it means that progress is ongoing, and hopefully, both of these projects will be done by Summer 2026, when they’re both slated to open.
