The Disney Destiny is one step closer to setting sail, and Disney just gave us a new peek inside.

The latest update reveals more about De Vil’s — a piano lounge dripping in glam and inspired by none other than Cruella herself. This is just the latest in a string of exciting updates Disney has shared as the Destiny gets closer to its maiden voyage this November. If you’re into heroes, villains, Broadway-style shows, and chocolate racetracks (yes, really), you’re gonna want to keep reading.
Cruella De Vil’s Lounge
If you thought Disney was going to lightly sprinkle in the villains on the Destiny, think again. They’re going full glam evil with De Vil’s, an all-new piano lounge inspired by fashion queen Cruella de Vil. According to the latest update, this spot is going to be seriously stylish — we’re talking couture vibes, rich textures, and bold red, black, and white decor.

When you walk into De Vil’s, you’ll pass under a marquee made of piano key–shaped letters spelling out the name of the lounge. Inside, the floors will feature a mosaic with Cruella’s “How Marvelous” catchphrase surrounded by 15 paw prints (a little nod to the Dalmatian pups, obviously).

There’s also going to be a show-stopping spotted piano that basically screams drama in the best way possible.

Sugar Rush Play Area for Kids
Disney gave us a first look at what’s coming to the kids’ club on board — and if your kids are into Wreck-It Ralph, they’re going to freak out. The Oceaneer Club will have a Sugar Rush–themed entrance, and it’s not just decorated with candy — the entire floor is designed to look like a racetrack with caramel and chocolate sauce running along the edges.

To top it off, full-size statues of Ralph and Vanellope will welcome kids as they head in. Disney Imagineer Meg Tracy oversaw the paint treatment to make sure the colors match the animation exactly.

This area hits the whole theme of heroes and villains on the ship — Ralph was a villain, after all… until he wasn’t.
Hercules Stage Show Music Recording
Disney recently gave us an update that had us replaying “Zero to Hero” for the hundredth time. The creative team recorded the music for a brand-new Disney Hercules stage show that’s going to be exclusive to the Destiny. The recording took place in Nashville with a gospel choir, a drumline, and a full orchestra — 70 musicians in total.

They even included a brand-new theatrical version of “Shooting Star,” which was originally cut from the movie.

This show is shaping up to be a total showstopper with updated arrangements, big vocals, and the kind of energy you want from a Hercules musical. Props, costumes, and choreography are still in development, but this one’s already sounding like a must-see.
Custom Villain Artwork by Hannah Loflin
Disney’s also been working with artists behind the scenes to give the ship some seriously cool visual storytelling moments. One of those artists is Hannah Loflin, a Senior Concept Artist for Disney Live Entertainment.

She’s designing a trio of still-life paintings inspired by classic Disney villains — Captain Hook, Prince John, and the Evil Queen. These paintings are loaded with hidden details and little visual Easter eggs pulled from the original animated films.

One example? Captain Hook’s piece includes gold, silks, feathers, and even a tiny lantern door that’s slightly ajar, as if Tinker Bell just escaped. All three paintings will be installed on Deck 4 near Hook’s Barbery, and they’ll help bring that heroes-vs-villains theme to life in a subtle, artistic way.
Café Megara Details
Another early update showed off Café Megara, a walk-up café off the Grand Hall that’s themed around Disney’s Hercules. Think deep purples, cloudy pastels, and fabrics inspired by Meg and Pegasus. The design is rooted in Greek mythology, but done in that modern-Disney way — like cloud-patterned carpets and Pegasus wallpapers hidden in the décor.

The space is being pulled together by Imagineers Beth Burkhardt and Rachel Willcoxon, and if the final version looks anything like the concept, it’s going to be a major vibe.
The Ship Is Set to Launch November 20th
If you’re already planning your dream cruise, mark your calendar: The Disney Destiny sets sail on November 20th from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. Between the villain-themed lounges, the Broadway-level entertainment, and the deep-cut Disney details everywhere, this ship is shaping up to be a huge deal.
