Some foods are better than others…

It’s no secret that we try A LOT of Disney food. From table service restaurants to every snack we can get our hands on, we like to try it all and let you know what we think. While there’s plenty we LOVE, sometimes there are things that… well… let’s say we may skip them next time.
*NOTE: These were just our thoughts! As always, some guests may like them, some may not.*
Plant-Based “Cheese” Pizza from Pinocchio Village Haus
We’ve spoken about this one before, and this $12.79 plant-based pizza remains simply not for us. The cheese reminds us of glue, the crust is tough, and the tomato sauce is not enough to save it.

That said, it is a meat-free option to keep in mind if you’re searching for a plant-based option in Fantasyland.

Fish & Chips at Sassagoula
We tried this $12.99 fish & chips offer from Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, and we were… not impressed.

The dish featured basic beer-battered Cod fillets served with tartar sauce and fries, and the fillets looked (and tasted) more like chicken tenders than fresh fish. If someone doesn’t like overly fishy taste, that’s good… but then why get fish and chips in the first place? And there are many better options on property, so these were a bummer!

Cold Fashioned at Hurricane Hanna’s
We also stopped by Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill at the Yacht & Beach Club’s Stormalong Bay to sample some of the bar’s new offerings, including the $18 Cold Fashioned.

Made with Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Citrus and Tea Slushy, and Angostura Bitters, the drink felt inventive… but ran into a weather issue. Specifically, as it melted in the heat, it seemed less unique and more like a watered-down Old Fashioned.

Family Churros at Eight Spoon Cafe
On paper, this $15.99 platter of 21 bite-size churros with sprinkles, chocolate, and caramel dipping sauces should be a slam-dunk.
However, last time we tried it, the fry was inconsistent from churro to churro, and the sauces didn’t have super great flavor.

Our recent experiences with these Disney dishes weren’t great, but your mileage may vary. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on Disney eats!
