Mmm…coffee. The bean juice of life. For many of us coffee drinkers, we can’t go a day without our caffeinated beverage and that includes while we’re in Disney World.

Luckily, Disney World offers two different coffee brands — Starbucks and Joffrey’s. You’ll find both of these within all four of the parks. Each park offers one Starbucks and at least one (and sometimes more) Joffrey’s kiosks. Many of the hotels also have Joffrey’s locations, so you can get your coffee before you get to the park and another cup once you get there. Emma is a bit of a coffee connoisseur and enjoys grabbing a cup of joe before starting her day. Recently, she’s come up with the fun game of “Magic or Tragic” because sometimes you just never know how that first sip is going to go.
If you follow AllEars Emma on Instagram, you may have seen her “Magic or Tragic” stories where she gets a new coffee drink each day and rates it as “Magic,” delicious, or “Tragic,” a flop. Unfortunately, she’s started doing this because coffee drinks can be a bit unreliable.

Recently, she stopped by a Joffrey’s stand and grabbed a Shakin Jamakin with oat milk and caramel, and, sadly, the drink was “Tragic.” She wondered if the oat milk that was used was maybe bad. But the truth is, you take a gamble every time you order a coffee drink.

Regardless of whether you like trying new drinks or you have your go-to beverage, they can be inconsistent. Whether you get a coffee drink or a non-coffee option, one day the milk could be bad, the amount of syrup might differ, or maybe the type of coffee bean changed. It’s a gamble we’re willing to take, but it’s a gamble nonetheless.

We have noticed that our Starbucks drinks are a bit more reliable, especially at the parks. Starbucks must have their drink recipes down to a perfected science. While we enjoy Joffrey’s drinks, we have wondered if they’re a bit less reliable. However, we’re not going to stop going to either! A coffee drinker NEEDS their coffee.

Next time you’re trying a new coffee drink let us know if it’s “Magic or Tragic!” We’re always looking for new coffee drink suggestions. So when you’re headed to the parks, don’t forget to stop for that caffeine to power your day. You’ll find Starbucks drinks and treats at the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, at Connections Café in EPCOT, at Creature Comforts in Animal Kingdom, or the Trolley Car Café in Hollywood Studios.
