REVIEW: Bring Your Sweet Tooth — 6 NEW Treats Just Landed in Disney World

It’s finally happening! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has opened in Disney World, and we are in Magic Kingdom checking out EVERYTHING about the ride.

New map!

In honor of the ride’s opening, Disney World has not only dropped some new merchandise (including some exclusive Annual Passholder souvenirs), but we’ve also got some brand new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-inspired snacks to try out. So join us as we check out some of these new treats.

Let’s head on over to Main Street Confectionery. Our first stop here is at the Kernel Kitchen, where two NEW Tiana’s Bayou Adventure popcorn mixes are now available. Tiana’s Sweet Popcorn Serenade is made with Caramel popcorn with praline pecans, M&M’S Caramel Chocolate Candies, pretzel pieces, and dark chocolatey drizzle  for $15.99. This one is for you chocolate lovers, but we like the extra bit of saltiness and crunch of the pretzels.

If you want something a little more savory, you can pick up the Tiana’s Bayou Crunch, made with Cajun cheddar popcorn with M&M’S Peanut Butter Chocolate Candies, cheddar crackers, pretzel pieces, and white chocolatey drizzle for $15.99. There is a bit of sweetness against the cheddar popcorn with just a touch of heat. There’s so much stuff in this, though, it is a little hard to dig into.

The Lily Pad Cereal Treat for $6.49 is basically a super cute Krispie treat coated in white chocolate. The gummi frog is a standard gummi candy, but it does add a nice touch to the overall aesthetic of the snack. The treat is soft, although the chocolate melts pretty fast in the heat. Warning: this snack is VERY sweet.

We have to say the Pecan Praline Caramel Apple for $12.99 was SUPER tasty. The chopped praline pecans add a nice crunch and have a sweet and vanilla-like flavor. The buttery caramel is nice and soft and blends well with the pecans. It also looks great, so you’ll want to take lots of photos of it. Like most caramel apples, though, it is a little tricky to eat.

There are also some fun pre-packaged Tiana’s Bayou Adventure-inspired snacks you can pick up, including Green Apple Gummi Frogs. They were super sweet, and we didn’t really like the flavor a lot — it just tasted artificial to us. It’s very sugary and apple-like, though. Kids will probably love these.

You can even get Spicy Butter Toffee Peanuts. This snack, on the other hand, was great! The peanuts are super crunchy and the sweetness, along with some butteriness, is the first flavor you get. Then the subtle heat kicks in, but don’t worry, this is what we’d call “Disney spicy.” However, we think if you eat the whole bag, it could add up and your mouth might end up on fire.

Also, at The Friar’s Nook and snack carts around Magic Kingdom, you’ll find the Princess Tiana Sipper for $18.

If you’re headed to Magic Kingdom soon, you’ll want to enjoy a few of these new snacks to celebrate the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. We also need to mention a new cocktail you can pick up at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. It’s the Bayou Soirée, which will be available for a limited time at the restaurants and bars at the two hotels.
