NEWS: An Exclusive EPCOT Lounge Will CLOSE for Over a Month

One of Walt Disney World’s Disney Vacation Club Lounges is closing!

One of the perks given to Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members on Disney World property is access to exclusive lounges throughout the resort. Generally, these Member Lounges offer amenities including seating, complimentary soft drinks, a children’s entertainment area
Wi-Fi, and access to Member Services Advisors. Access to said ounces is limited to card-carrying members — who must present their valid membership card as well as a photo ID to enter — and up to four guests, or however many guests are listed on their current Disney hotel reservations.

One of the most popular DVC Member Lounge locations is in the Imagination pavilion at EPCOT. Located on the second floor of the ImageWorks merchandise location, this lounge features gorgeous views of the park and access to an area beloved by many hardcore EPCOT fans. However, Disney just announced that it’s closing for refurbishment.

Journey Into Imagination with Figment

On May 20th, Disney confirmed that the location will be “will be temporarily closed from June 2, 2024 – July 13, 2024 due to a planned refurbishment.” Then Disney confirmed that the area is scheduled to reopen on July 14th, and that a temporary DVC Member Lounge will be located inside The Odyssey pavilion during the refurbishment.

We recently saw a permit for the Imagination Pavilion. It’s for “general construction” so it’s unclear exactly which experience it is impacting in that pavilion, but you can read more about that here.

Disney Vacation Club members visiting EPCOT from the beginning of June through the middle of July won’t have access to the popular Imagination Pavilion Member Lounge as it will be closed for refurbishment. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney World updates.
