Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Is Opening in Under 40 Days at Magic Kingdom

We can’t believe that we’ll finally– finally! — be riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom in just a few short weeks! If you’re unfamiliar, this new Princess and the Frog-themed attraction is replacing Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom. But don’t worry; the iconic big drop remains in the new version of the ride.

D23 Previews for the ride have already sold out, and Annual Passholders and Cast Members also get special previews of the ride before it officially opens on June 28th. But the ride isn’t ready just yet — finishing touches are being added! Here are all the NEW details we’ve noticed.

The first thing we noticed is that a sign has now been posted on the main entrance doors reminding guests that there is a 50-foot drop ahead and that they WILL get wet! Good news! The SPLASH element remains.

We also noticed something that almost looks like a vending machine towards the exit of the ride! New themed signs are also up in the outdoor queue, instructing guests how to get to the (fictional) Break Room and Farmers Market!

We also love all the fun theming details throughout the queue — it really brings the whole theme together.

Don’t forget, Disney shared that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will pick up the story of The Princess and the Frog“after the final kiss, and join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.” We can’t wait to see what kind of adventures we will encounter on the ride.
