NEWS: Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Evacuated Due to Chemical Exposure

Sometimes things happen in Disney World that you aren’t necessarily prepared for.

The weather is one of those things because it’s always unpredictable. Ride closures could also pop up and change your plans in Disney World. Sometimes, things happen at hotels, and on October 25th, a Disney World hotel was evacuated.

According to Fox35, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort was evacuated this morning by Reedy Creek firefighters. This was the result of a brief chemical scare.

According to the fire department, the chemical scare came after an employee mixed two chemicals that should not have been combined. The resulting reaction led employees to evacuate the kitchen while firefighters responded and investigated the scene.

Nobody was injured, and guests were not affected. We arrived on the scene that afternoon, and it seemed that everything was back to normal at the hotel. We also checked at both Capt. Cook’s and Kona Cafe, as the incident took place in a kitchen, and things were both normal at those restaurants.
