Disney World’s 50th Anniversary was an 18-month-long celebration that just ended in March 2023.
The celebration was complete with tons of decorations, new snacks, experiences, and more. Some aspects of the celebration are still around in the parks, like the 50th Anniversary statues. However, we noticed that these statues have changed!
It appears that many 50th Anniversary statues are now missing their 50th Anniversary medallions. This came right after an announcement from Disney that Imagineers would be making some changes to the statues!
This leaves them just solid gold at the base, with no indication that they were specifically for the celebration.
However, you can still use your MagicBand+ to interact with the statues when you wave at them. Remember though that this will only work for MagicBand+, not regular MagicBands.
