You can a lot of really unique souvenirs in Disney World.

You can get customizable Minnie ears. You can make customized M&Ms. You can even make an ornament out of ostrich eggs? But there’s another unique souvenir you might’ve forgotten about, although a certain new HUGE movie could remind you of it.
With Avatar: The Way of Water premiering in theaters (in a HUGE way), we thought we’d remind you that you can turn yourself into an Avatar, just like in the ones from the first movie! You just need to head Windtraders in Pandora — The World of Avatar in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

That’s where you’ll find the Avatar Maker program! You’ll work with a “Scan Technician” who uses a facial capture scanner to enter data into their “Hybrid Digitizing System.”
Prepare to have your image captured so you can be transformed into Avatar form! You’ll also typically be able to make some other customizations for your avatar — like selecting a body type, eye color, facial striping patterns, and hairstyle.

Then you’ll get your ACE Identification Card from a Cast Member. You’ll need this to pick up your customized Avatar. And you get to keep the card as a souvenir, too!

Then, an Avatar is printed for you!

Your Avatar will soon be ready and you can pick it up in Windtraders! A member of the AllEars team actually went through the entire process and got a CUSTOM Avatar of themselves. Can you guess which member of the AllEars team this Avatar belongs to?

It was CRAIG! Do you see the resemblance?

Each Avatar you choose to make is $79.99. So if you’re a big fan of the Avatar movies, this is a great way to get a unique souvenir that is customized JUST FOR YOU. Yes, it might be a bit weird or strange to have a doll of YOURSELF in Avatar form (just picture that thing staring at you if you wake up in the middle of the night!) — but it is VERY unique and it might be the closest you get to feeling like you have a real piece of Avatar in your life!

Be aware that Annual Passholders can also typically get a discount on this unique souvenir, so that’s a quick way to save a few bucks (when available).

Don’t forget to see Avatar: The Way of Water in movie theaters! It’s out now — and you can watch the trailer here. Warning, though: it’s a LONG movie, so you might want to skip buying the large soda from concessions.
