The Latest UPDATES on Disney's Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant

Disney World is going through quite the transformation, in case you hadn’t already noticed!

New attractions are being built in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, while renovations are underway at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the BoardWalk Inn, too. Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we’ve been keeping an eye on the construction progress at Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ — let’s take a look at the latest updates.

When Disney announced that a new Toy Story-themed restaurant was coming to Hollywood Studios, we were excited to hear about every new detail that was released. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ would be opening in 2022, and we’ve been waiting for more news since!

Since this will be a table service restaurant with indoor seating, most of the construction has been taking place behind this green fence. We did recently notice that the concept art that was previously hanging along the fence had been removed.

Whether this is a sign that the restaurant concept has changed or is just an indication that Disney needs to secure those signs better, we’re not quite sure. You can see a bit more of the entrance to Roundup Rodeo BBQ in this shot that peers over the fence from @bioreconstruct on Twitter.

Although we can’t see what’s going on inside the restaurant, we did get a peek at some permits filed back on August 3rd, which we shared in our last update. Two permits were filed, one for “Fabrication & Installation of Set Pieces” and the other for “Project T – Themed Facades.”

Chances are these permits are referring to all of the various large toy set pieces we’ve seen in the concept art, but for now, we’ll just have to wait and see!
