Although many Disney World guests prefer to stay in Disney-owned hotels, there are other options near the resort.

One of those options is the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, which enjoys many of the same benefits as Disney-owned hotels. However, now that the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is open, guests have yet ANOTHER hotel to choose from. So we stayed in a room there to give you an idea of what to expect.
Resort Atmosphere
The Swan Reserve has 349 guest rooms, 149 suites, and 2 presidential suites. Its style is elegant and sleek with a beach-themed atmosphere. The color tones inside are warm with lots of ivories, browns, and blues.

The resort is located within walking distance or a water taxi ride of both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. That means it’s also near the other EPCOT resorts, so guests have access to additional shopping and dining.
Guests also have access to Disney World Resort perks like Early Theme Park Hours and Extended Evening Hours.

You’ll also find the fine dining restaurant, Amare, here.
Room Tour
Let’s take a walk down the hallway to find our room.

We stayed in a Traditional Room w/ Standard View and a King Bed . Here’s what it looks like as soon as you step through the door. A narrow hallway leads into the room. To the left of this hallway is the door that leads to the bathroom (we’ll get to that in a bit) and the closet.

On the right is a full-length mirror.

The closet has two double doors.

You’ll find a pop of color inside — it’s orange! There are hangers here, too.

Inside, you’ll find robes…

…and a luggage rack.

The closet’s top shelf has extra blankets and a pillow…

…and a Steam Iron.

The room itself features a King-sized bed.

Beside the bed, you’ll find a side table…

…with a phone, along with USB ports and electrical outlets. We also got a pen and notepad.

The bed itself has four pillows (you can never have too many pillows!).

Above the bed was some summer-themed Artwork. Ours featured people in a swimming pool.

Each side of the bed has its own light.

On the far side of the bed is another side table.

On top of that table is a remote control and really cool clock with USB ports.

The table also has a drawer that pulls out.

Beside that table is a seating area…

…with a Loveseat…

…that pulls out into a bed.

There’s a footstool and small table in front of the loveseat.

You’ll find the floor-to-ceiling windows next to the sofa. There are heavy curtains with a privacy curtain underneath.

Both sets of curtains can be pulled back to get a full view.

Our view included the resort’s pool and Hollywood Studios — see the Tower of Terror in the distance?

Across from that is a desk and chair.

There’s a lamp on the desk.

The desk also has a QR code placard that can be scanned for more information about the resort.

The desk is attached to a dresser across from the bed.

The flatscreen TV is above the dresser.

There are a few empty drawers in the dresser…

…but you’ll also find the mini fridge on one side…

…and the safe on the other.

There’s an empty drawer under the safe.

The Keurig Coffee Maker sits on top of the dresser. There are various K-cups available, along with cups, creamer, and everything else you need for your morning cup of java.

There are USB ports and outlets on the side of the dresser.

A drawer also pulls out from the side of the dresser where you’ll find an ice bucket and glasses.

Underneath that is an empty drawer.

Beside the dresser was a door to an adjoining room.

On the far side of the room is the thermostat.

Okay, it’s time to check out the bathroom. It’s pretty spacious.

Here you’ll find the toilet with some artwork above it.

Beside that is the sink area…

…with a large sink…

…and a large mirror above it with lights on each side. The light switches and outlets are on the wall.

There are extra hand towels, bath amenities and a small mirror on one side of the sink.

On the other side of the sink are facial tissues and plastic cups.

Underneath the sink, you’ll find extra toilet paper, towels, and the hair dryer.

The shower features sliding doors.

There’s a simple lever…

…that controls the water coming out of the shower head. There’s also a hand-held shower here.

There’s a small basket with extra soap on the opposite wall.

If you’re looking to staying at the Swan Reserve, you can book a reservation on the Marriott website — also, keep in mind that if you’re a Mariott Bonvoy member, you can earn points for your stay, as well as use points for your stay.
If you want to know more about shopping and dining in the area, be sure to check out all the other hotels in the area, including Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.
