Two Rides and an Underrated Shop Will Be CLOSED This Week in Disney World

It’s not uncommon for rides, shops, and resorts to need some TLC throughout the year, but if you don’t know what will be closed before you head out on your vacation, you might end up surprised.

That’s why we keep you updated on all the scheduled closures throughout the parks here at AllEars! So, today we’re taking a look at everything that will be unavailable from November 29th to December 5th, 2021.

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments

Walt Disney World Railroad

This week will mark three years since the Walt Disney World Railroad closed to make way for construction on the new roller coaster, TRON: Lightcycle Run. And, there’s no end in sight for this “temporary” closure right now.

Main Street Railroad Station

A portion of the track that the railroad takes around the park is being blocked by the construction in Tomorrowland, so it is set to be closed through at least early 2022 (though this likely will be extended).

EPCOT Refurbishments

Souk-Al-Magreb

Earlier this month, the small shop called Souk-Al-Magreb in the Morocco Pavilion reopened after a short refurbishment. But, it looks like refurbishments are still needed here, as Disney’s calendar lists the shop as being closed throughout the week.

It is set to be closed through at least early February 2022, but we’ll keep an eye out for more details.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Refurbishments

Kali River Rapids

Cooler weather may make it so that you don’t want to hop on the water ride that is almost guaranteed to soak you in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but even if the weather took a turn for the better, Kali River Rapids will continue its lengthy refurbishment next week.

The attraction is set to reopen sometime in mid-December, though it is currently listed on Disney’s calendar as being closed through December 30th, 2021.
