Over in the Magic Kingdom, Rivers of America recently opened after being closed for refurbishment.
During construction, the Liberty Belle traveled outside of the park, the river was drained, and construction workers could be spotted on Tom Sawyer Island and in the surrounding area. But, just last week, the river reopened to guests and the Liberty Belle set sail again on its loops around Tom Sawyer Island. That is, until today.
When we were walking around Magic Kingdom this morning, we noticed that the Liberty Belle was stationary again. And, upon closer look, we learned that the Liberty Square Riverboat is temporarily closed.
We’re not sure exactly what caused the closure or when the ride will reopen, but we spotted a group of Cast Members on the Liberty Belle in what looked like a meeting. A similar group of Cast Members could be spotted on Tom Sawyer Island, as the rafts to the island are also temporarily closed.
