We’re in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for this November day!

As we head back to the park today, we’re taking a closer look at what the crowds, lines, and waits were like in Disney’s Animal Kingdom during our time in the park today!
As we entered the park, guests were lined up in a distanced manner outside the entrance to go into the park. However, the line to actually enter the park was a lot shorter than the queues at the attractions and experiences inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Many people have been returning to the parks to see the gorgeous holiday decorations that have flown back into Disney’s Animal Kingdom for Christmas. Although you might want to stop and snap a few photos of the luminaries and lanterns…

…the line for PhotoPass pictures was VERY long when we first entered the park! Guests were separated from one another as they waited to get their family photo in front of all the greenery. Although we totally get wanting that picture in front of the Tree of Life, we recommend waiting a little bit of time for the line to get shorter (instead of going towards park opening).

Meanwhile, the Kilimanjaro Safaris picked up a little speed with a 30 minute wait that extended from the attraction. A Cast Member stood outside to show guests where the end of the queue was located.

In the meantime, we headed over to the Research Building to check out some of the reptiles and amphibians chilling out in their enclosures. There were a few families inside the area, but they were standing apart from one another.

We took a moment to talk to our snake friend in Parseltongue, but he reminded us that we might want to save our Slytherin abilities for the next time we’re in Universal Orlando!

The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail was a bit busy as a Cast Member helped point guests walk in an orderly fashion…

…before visiting the gorillas that were relaxing in the shade! Parties were separated from one another in the viewing area with distancing circles on the ground for groups to stand on.

The sweetest mama and baby gorilla duo were enjoying their Wednesday with some quality time.

As guests made their way over to Pandora, Cast Members said that the attractions had wait times ranging from 30 to 40 minutes…

…while one of the BIGGEST lines was for the lunch rush over at Satu’li Canteen!

As the afternoon stretched on, the entrance wasn’t as busy as we had seen it earlier in the day.

AND, the PhotoPass area we saw earlier had its crowds disperse so there weren’t many guests waiting to have their pictures taken!

As we continue to make our way around Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, we’ll give you a look at the rest of the crowds in the park! And, we’ll continue to update you on what Disney World is like during the holidays before you head to the parks soon.

My daughter and I took my two granddaughters (under 2) about three weeks ago. Disney has done a spectacular job with social distancing, mask wearing enforcement, hand sanitizer dispensers, temperature checks and much more. It allowed us to be safe as long as we followed the rules. This was the same in the Animal Kingdom resort we stayed in. We had a lot of fun other than having to wear a mask all day in 96 degree heat!
