The holiday season has officially arrived at Disney World, and we’re visiting all four theme parks to check out the festivities!
Entertainment has looked a little different since the parks re-opened back in July with parades on a temporary hiatus. But, in their place we’ve been enjoying all the Character Cavalcades (AKA mini parades) that have been taking place instead.
Just in time for the season, Disney is revamping its cavalcades with a Christmas flair! While we’ve already seen the line-up of floats and characters in the Magic Kingdom, we’re taking you with us to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to check out all the holiday entertainment too!
The park has been decorated with luminaries and lanterns…
…wreaths and garlands…
…and even Christmas trees for people to enjoy during their visit.
However, the cavalcades in Disney’s Animal Kingdom are unique since they are watercades instead as floats cruise along the river in the park!

The Donald’s DinoBash Watercade has gotten a holiday makeover as chip and Dale wear festive ears to go along with their dinosaur outfits…
…and Goofy switches out his outfit for pieces that feature candy cane stripes, Christmas lights, and more!
Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto are also out and about for the holidays in Disney’s Animal Kingdom in a float decorated with garlands and ornaments.
Plus, all three of the characters are snuggled up in scarves and other winter gear as they chill out on the waterway. (Of course, they look FAB while they’re doing it!)
Santa Claus is even out to wave to guests in Disney’s Animal Kingdom (wow, he really traveled quickly all the way from the Magic Kingdom ?)!
His float might be our favorite since it shows off bright and icy colors, a few reindeers, and PINWHEELS (!!!) all around it that are so much fun!!
Wow, the holidays are off to such an incredible start in the parks! And, we can’t wait to see what else is in store over the coming weeks! While we’ll be covering the festivities all season long, make sure to continue checking in throughout the day for the latest details live from Disney World.
