Disney Gave Us a FIRST LOOK at the 7 Themed Areas on the Disney Adventure

Can you believe that the official maiden voyage for Disney’s newest cruise ship, the Disney Adventure, is just DAYS away? The new ship will set sail on March 10th, and we seriously can’t wait to experience it!

The newest ship will set sail from Singapore and cruise through Southeast Asia on three and four-night voyages. The ship focuses heavily on Disney’s heroes and villains. In fact, Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr., was named the godfather of this ship. We’ve been getting tons of news surrounding this new cruise, and apparently, that wasn’t the half of it, because Disney just dropped a LOT more stuff!

The Disney Adventure has seven themed areas that feature Disney, Pixar, and Marvel. Apparently, Disney can’t wait till the ship’s official launch, because the Disney Cruise Line just took to Instagram to give us a sneak peek at the seven themed areas you’ll discover on board the Disney Adventure!

Let’s start at the Disney Imagination Garden, which has a centrepiece of a Sorcer Mickey Mouse topiary. This area is special because it features the first Disney castle on a Disney Cruise — isn’t it stunning?! The open‑air courtyard centers around a Garden Stage, where large‑scale performances, character moments, and celebratory events will take place during the day and the evening.

At the garden, stop by its two quick-service locations — Gramma Tala’s Kitchen and Mowgli’s Eatery. They offer a blend of Pacific and Indian inspired menus.

Then there’s San Fransokyo Street, which will feel like you’re touring the streets from Disney’s Big Hero Six — a Disney movie that’s finally getting as much love as it deserves!

The area will be filled with experiences…

Next, let’s take a look at Marvel Landing. This area is on the ship’s top deck, and it will be the spot for all the Marvel lovers to hang out. Marvel Landing features three rides, including Pym Quantum Racers, Groot Galaxy Spin, and Ironcycle Test Run, the longest rollercoaster at sea.

Then there’s Town Square, the area fit for royalty! The ceiling has gorgeous artwork of all of Disney’s royalty. Here you can get makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and experience dining and lounge venues, including Spellbound and Enchanted Summer Restaurant.

Disney Discovery Reef is inspired by Disney and Pixar’s underwater tales. Palo Trattoria and Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia are located there, which are two of the ship’s signature fine dining restaurants. Also check out Bewitching Boba and Brews, a bubble tea shop, and Taverna Portorosso, a sports bar inspired by Pixar’s Luca. You’ll even see Dory and Nemo there!

Toy Story Place is where you’ll get a splash of fun! This water park is inspired by Pixar’s Toy Story, and it’ll be the place your kiddos never want to leave (or you, for that matter). It’s located on the ship’s upper decks, and has a large family pool, multiple whirlpools, towering water slides, and interactive splash pads. The water park features a giant water bucket, a playground, and Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides!

You know what will be calling us? Wayfinder Bay! This swimming pool themed to Moana is great for lounging and relaxing. Here you can enjoy ocean views and live entertainment.

You can take more of a closer look at the seven themed areas thanks to this post Disney Parks put out on X.

Speaking of Disney Parks’ post, they also shared a gorgeous look at the Elsa Royal Suite. That’s right, Arendelle is joining the ship in an elegant way.

But wait…THERE’S MORE! The Disney Cruise Line recently welcomed the Disney Adventure with a dazzling christening ceremony at its new homeport of Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore. The celebration began in the Walt Disney Theatre aboard the Disney Adventure. The ceremony featured performances by talented regional vocalists and musicians, enhanced by magical visual effects. Captain Mickey Mouse, Captain Minnie Mouse, and their friends even popped by.

A 23-piece orchestra, joined by Jed Madela and Dami Im, took guests on an adventure through beloved Disney, Pixar, and Marvel melodies, bringing it all back to the ship’s themes. Chairman of Disney Experiences and incoming CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Josh D’Amaro, and President of Disney Signature Experiences, Joe Schott, joined the artists on stage to mark the momentous occasion.

“The Walt Disney Company has always been built on the power of storytelling and innovation – and Disney Cruise Line brings those values to life in extraordinary ways. Our cruise ships are ambassadors of our brand that carry joy, wonder and enchantment to destinations around the world,” said D’Amaro. “As our first ship to homeport in Asia, the Disney Adventure represents a new chapter for Disney Cruise Line and will introduce Disney to audiences who may be experiencing our magic for the very first time. It offers fans across this region an opportunity to immerse themselves in unforgettable ways and create memories that are uniquely Disney.”

Robert Downey Jr., the godparent of the Disney Adventure, gave a ceremonial blessing for good fortune for the ship and all its guests.

“I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the team at Walt Disney Imagineering, and I can tell you Adventure is the perfect name for what they’ve created,” he said. “Being the Godparent of this majestic vessel is an honor, and I have some serious duties to perform, so let’s make it official, shall we?”

Robert Downey Jr. then cued the orchestra, saying, “You bring the theme and I’ll bring the thunder,” followed by the official blessing, “I christen thee, Disney Adventure, may God bless this ship and all who sail upon her.” The celebration ended as iconic Disney characters led a rousing rendition of the Disney Cruise Line tradition and guest-favorite song, “Let’s Set Sail.”
