CONFIRMED: Disney World Hotel Restaurant Will Close in May 2026

We wish we were bringing you happier news, but — alas — this is not the case.

Right now, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is undergoing some serious exterior maintenance through late 2026, as well as some other maintenance —  including refurbishing a popular steakhouse. If you were planning on visiting this resort between May and August, you may want to brace yourself for this news…

Apologies to steak-lovers — Yachtsman Steakhouse will be closed in May 2026 for a refresh and isn’t expected to reopen until sometime in August 2026.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a signature dining experience that serves up “high-quality, grain-fed beef” in the form of beef entrées like the 12-oz Prime New York Strip Steak with peppercorn-brandy sauce — as well as other sophisticated American entrées and sides. You can also grab tasty desserts like the Yachtsman’s Chocolate Cake!

There could be a slight overlap of closures with the nearby Crew’s Cup Lounge, which is CLOSED for its own refresh and won’t reopen until May 2026. Hopefully, they will trade off so we can go to one of our two favorite spots at the resort.

Unfortunately, it’s a tough time to get that famous New England steakhouse fix at the Yacht Club, but the resort’s other restaurants — Ale & Compass Restaurant, Ale & Compass Lounge, and The Market at Ale & Compass are still open for business!

You can also stroll over to Disney’s Beach Club for more than supplementary dining! Here, you’ll find Cape May Cafe, Martha’s Vineyard, and Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.
