There are plenty of well-known tools inside the My Disney Experience app — Mobile Ordering, viewing wait times, and Lightning Lane reservations, but one of its most meaningful features is also one of the easiest to miss.

We’re here to tell you about this feature that goes unnoticed, and just in time for World Compliment Day is today, March 1st! At the end of the day, the rides, fireworks, and snacks are only part of what makes a trip to Disney World unforgettable. The real magic? The people.
Disney Cast Members create the moments guests talk about for years. The balloon handed to a crying toddler, the free customized celebration button, or the custodian who draws characters with water on the pavement. And Disney quietly built a way for guests to officially thank them right inside the app.

Buried deep in the menu of the My Disney Experience app is a section called Cast Compliments, and it lets you send recognition directly to Disney leadership about a Cast Member who made your day. These compliments don’t just disappear into the void. They actually become part of a Cast Member’s record and are shared with their leaders, often helping recognition programs, awards, and career growth. So yes, that magical interaction you loved? You can make sure it counts.

How to Send a Cast Compliment (Step-by-Step)
It takes less than a minute once you know where to look:
1. Open the My Disney Experience app
2. Tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the bottom-right corner
3. Scroll all the way down to Help & Feedback
4. Tap Cast Compliments
From there, Disney walks you through a quick form where you can share the magic.
You’ll choose:
- The reason you’re sending a compliment
- The Cast Member’s location (park, resort, or Disney Springs area)
Then you’ll see optional — but very helpful — details:
- First name (from their nametag)
- Hometown (also on their nametag!)
- Date of your interaction
That’s it. Submit, and Disney handles the rest.

Why This Actually Matters
Cast Members are trained to create “magical moments,” but many go far beyond what their role requires, and those efforts often happen quietly. Most guests don’t realize that Disney tracks these, and leaders review them. In other words, you’re not just saying thanks, you’re helping a real person get acknowledged for doing a great job.
