Pretty Sure We’ll Be Spending All of Our Time in This HIDDEN Room on the Disney Destiny

Um…did you even realize how close we are to the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Destiny, finally setting sail? The ship’s first sail date is on November 20th!

Onboard the Disney Destiny!

The brand-new ship is themed to heroes and villains, with many of our favorite characters to show up on board. We got a chance to get an early look at the Disney Destiny, and we showed you everything that we saw! Well…almost everything. There’s a secret room onboard that we’re slightly obsessed with, and we’re sharing it with you.

If you dare to wander up to Deck 5 on the cruise ship, you may find the man who has friends on the other side. It’s kind of hard to find, so we had to ask a Cast Member, who then took us straight there. Where were we taken? To Dr. Facilier’s Parlor!

Inside the Disney Destiny!

We lined up for roughly 30 minutes before the start, which led to us being the second group to get in. However, we waited almost 50 minutes when all was said and done. They take in VERY small groups into the room, which honestly just enhances the experience. Our group only had 10 people, and they consistently counted how many people were in each party. When we entered, Dr. Facilier was head down, standing over a table with three chairs, and he looked very menacing!

Guests aboard the Disney Destiny may encounter the swindles and scams of the playfully sinister practitioner of the macabre, Dr. Facilier, in the upper levels of the Grand Hall or in his own makeshift parlor, inviting guests in for a card trick or sleight of hand. (Disney)

Soft jazz music plays in the dark room, and the room is draped with his colors of purple and mauve. He chose three people from our group to see if they have “intuition and the gift”. He then went through the three people and asked each of them if they thought they had the gift, and to learn a bit about them. It felt as if the character came to life!

The actor was amazing, and his outfit felt like a real version of the character in a different way than his meet and greet character. The meet and greet character is still very animated and over the top, whereas this one felt grounded and realistic. The costume was clearly a much nicer version as well.He did an up-close parlor trick and lots of crowd work — it was so impressive!

He asked if there were any kids in the room before asking if one of the participants liked to “party” in New Orleans. He had one person in the room shuffle before selecting one person to participate in the trick, then they had to determine if a card was red or black using only their intuition. It felt like such a real and intimate experience; the only downside is that it’s only a 10-minute experience. The other downside is that there is no filming whatsoever; they made us put our phones in bags.

Disney Destiny!

We seriously can’t wait for the ship to finally set sail. It’s going to be unlike any of the other ships in the fleet. For more Disney news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to AllEars.
