The end of the year is fast approaching, but life at Disneyland rolls on.

Halloween is winding down, and the holiday season marks one of the busiest times to visit Disneyland. Though attendance will be high from November 14th, 2025, through January 7th, 2026, that won’t stop the resort from keeping some notable attractions down and out during the first month of festivities.
This November, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will have a combined 5 attractions closed at some point. They are as follows:
Disneyland Park
Storybook Land Canal Boats — Reopening Date TBA
Storybook Land Canal Boats in Fantasyland has been closed since July 21st, and it won’t reopen in November.

Work on this ride is ongoing as it is set to include a NEW Rapunzel’s tower miniature set piece! This new addition will be located between the Patchwork Quilt and Toad Hall, and riders will see multiple wanted posters for Flynn Rider while hearing the song When Will My Life Begin and I See The Light as they float past. A specific reopening date has yet to be announced, but it is slated to open this winter.
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Gentle boat ride through miniature scenes from Disney movies, such as Elsa's ice palace, the Seven Dwarfs Cottage, Agrabah, and Pinocchio's Village.
Casey Jr. Circus Train — Reopening Date TBA
The same can be said about Casey Jr. Circus Train, which shares a similar timeline to the Canal Boats.

Like its adjacent ride in Fantasyland, Casey Jr. Circus Train will be closed off all of November and will likely reopen with the Canal Boats. Disney has yet to confirm anything as of this writing, however.

Gentle train ride around Storybook Land — be a Monkey or Wild Animal and ride in one of the cage cars.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad — Reopening Date TBA
Frontierland’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed for a lengthy refurbishment on September 2nd, and the refurbishment calendar shows the ride still closed into December.

The ride’s lengthy refurbishment was expected to last a long while, and the wait could draw out even further as a reopening date still hasn’t been announced.

The famous holiday overlay is coming back to Disneyland’s “it’s a small world” just in time for the holidays!

The ride will be closed starting October 30th, 2025 with work wrapping up on November 13th. It reopens on November 14th — Disneyland’s official start date to its holiday season.

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail — Closed November 1st to November 13th
While technically not a ride, the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will be closed November 1st through November 13th.

The trail is closing and reopening on November 14th as it turns into its annual Santa’s Holiday Visit! Decked out in festive theming and featuring some notable characters from the North Pole, this seasonal offering will join the fun when the holidays start at the resort.
