Cool Kid Summer Ending
The time has come to say goodbye to Cool Kid Summer in Disney World.
Disney’s Cool Kid Summer event has been filled with fun kid-friendly entertainment, special character appearances, exclusive snacks, and more. It’s been a blast! If you enjoyed the AC break in GoofyCore Hall or the Get Animated dance party in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, get ready to say goodbye. Cool Kid Summer ends on September 1st, 2025.

Moonlight Magic Event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Moonlight Magic is a massive Disney Vacation Club Membership perk. It’s like a Disney World After Hours Event, except it is free (and even better)! There’s a Moonlight Magic event happening on September 1st at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so mark your calendars!
During the event, Members and their guests can expect shorter-than-usual wait times, character meet-and-greets, entertainment, and complimentary food and treats! These events sell out QUICKLY, and we expect Disney’s Hollywood Studios to close early to non-event guests.

The Boneyard at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Is Closing
A MAJOR transformation is happening now at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. DinoLand U.S.A. will soon become a Tropical Americas-themed Pueblo Esperanza land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Parts of Animal Kingdom have been slowly closing, and now another attraction is set to close.
The popular children’s playground, The Boneyard, will close permanently on September 2nd, 2025. That means the last day for your kiddos to cross rope bridges, climb through mysterious caves, and hurl down twisting slides will be September 1st. The playground was a go-to spot for kids 10 and under to let out some energy and explore.

Blizzard Beach Water Park Is Closing for the Season
From May 21st through September 7th, both Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park and Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park are open. If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can even visit one of these two parks for FREE on the first day of your vacation. But soon, one of the water parks will temporarily close.
On September 8th, Blizzard Beach Water Park is closing for the season. Disney has not shared a reopening date at this time, but we’ll keep our eyes out for updates.
ALERT! This MAJOR Disney World Hotel Perk Is Coming Back in 2026
Animation Courtyard Is Closing
We’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that a NEW “The Magic of Disney Animation”-themed area is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The bad news? On September 25th, Animation Courtyard (including Star Wars Launch Bay and Disney Jr. Play and Dance!) will close to make way for the updates.
This new area will be inspired by the Emmy-winning Disney short Once Upon a Studio. Some of the features will include portraits that “come to life,” a sketching class, a short film, and the Drawn to Wonderland playground with nods to Disney Legend Mary Blair.
