Is GEO-82 Too Small for Introverted Disney Adults?

The new adults-only lounge in EPCOT, GEO-82, has every Disney Adult talking. From incredible views outside of Spaceship Earth, unique drinks, and spectacular eats, it feels like everyone is searching for a reservation.

Guests have raved about the intimate atmosphere, but is it for everyone? Let’s see if GEO-82 is worth the hype for the most introverted Disney Adults.

The first reason GEO-82 might not be ideal for the quieter members of the group is that it’s brand new. Since it opened in June, it will be the first visit for the majority of people to the lounge.

Waiting room

Because of this, people might want to ask you how you’re enjoying it. If you see a new drink that you’ve never heard of before being brought to the table next to you, you might want to talk to them to get their opinions. Since most people will be excited to be there, it might lead to a few more conversations than you’re used to at a lounge.

The view!

The space is also quite small. A lot of the seating is at the bar or in comfy lounge chairs. You might be sitting less than a few feet from the people next to you. It’s a lot easier to start a conversation with someone when you’re sitting so close versus having to get up to talk.

Stunning

One thing we fell in love with during our visit to GEO-82 was the level of knowledge displayed by the servers and bartenders. When we sat at the bar, they explained different processes to us and were very friendly. As much as we loved it, that might not be your cup of tea!

Sitting in the main room, servers were happy to offer suggestions and recommendations on what to order. With a brand new restaurant, it’s likely you’re not as familiar with the menu and might be relying on the Cast Members to guide you on what to try.

Since the lounge is relatively new, they’re also seeking feedback on what is working and what is not. You might be asked if you’re enjoying yourself more than you usually do at other Disney World locations.

The last reason GEO-82 might not be for you is that the drinks and snacks are over-the-top. While you might love an elevated meal, you may not appreciate the explanation that accompanies it.

Ahi Tuna

For example, if you order the Exclusive Disney Select Bourbon Flight, the server will walk you through every drink on the platter, and it’s common for them to come back and ask which one you enjoyed the most.

If you were to order the Chef’s Selection of Artisan Cheeses, Cured Meats, and Accompaniments, the server will let you know every element on your plate, and you might have follow-up questions if you don’t quite remember which is which.

Charcuterie Board

With a very unique menu, you might also be wondering what everything means (and that’s okay! We didn’t know what everything was either). When we ordered the Caramelized Leek Martini, we asked our server for an explanation of how it was made and what flavors were most prominent.

Overall, GEO-82 is what you make of it. Whether you want to keep to yourself and enjoy the views out the window or make a new bestie with the bartender, every visit we’ve had at this lounge has been incredible. Keep following AllEars for more!

  1. We went over the 4th weekend and I’m an extrovert so I was a chatting it up with our sever Mimi who had me rolling with jokes. We sat in the corner had had an awesome view and I had a drink not on the menu called jungle Jim because I love rum and the server suggested it and ate cannellini hummus. I love the atmosphere and vibe of the place I’m local so I’m planning on going back there again soon
