We thought virtual queues may be gone from Disney World for a while, but we were wrong!

Disney World’s seen a lot of changes lately around the parks, and there’s even more on the way. With plenty to celebrate on the horizon with the upcoming Star Wars day we weren’t sure if we’d see this offering return so soon or not.
If you’ve ever spent a holiday inside Disney World, you’ve probably come to expect heavier crowds in the park. That’s made all the bigger when Disney fans are super passionate about these particular celebrations.

Star Wars day, or May the 4th for those not as familiar with this fandom tradition, is known to bring out a few galactic eats and drinks, character appearances, and even an impromptu light saber meet up, but one of the biggest draws of this day seems to center around the exclusive merchandise offered.

Disney has come to expect the demand for the merch collections and is looking to alleviate the crowds the best way they know how. They’ve just announced plans to bring back a virtual queue for Star Wars day limited-edition Star Wars-themed items at Stage 1 Company Store on Grand Ave.

This store has most recently only been open to offer shoppers the opportunity to view and purchase exclusive merchandise for this particular celebration over the past few years and it looks like Disney intends to keep up the same virtual queue process to access the store as they have over the past few years.

Historically for this event we’ve seen Disney offer limited-time apparel collections for both adults and youth, collectible items including character lightsaber hilts, mugs, and limited-release pins.

In order to join the the virtual queue to access the store, you’ll need to pull it up on your My Disney Experience app. Those looking to join the virtual queue line can begin as early as 7 AM ET on May 4th. You’ll also need valid park admission for the day to access the store when your time is called. Disney also noted that event merchandise is subject to availability, inventory may sell out, and joining the virtual queue does not guarantee access. Purchasing limits for select items may also apply when the store opens.
We’ll be bringing you along to check out everything that is happening as we celebrate Star Wars day at Disney World! Be sure to stay tuned with us to see it all.
