Disney World After Hours events can be a GREAT way to experience the parks without all the hustle, bustle, and chaos of a regular park day.

But, they don’t come cheap! If you’re wondering if After Hours events are right for you, you’ve come to the right place. We’re finding out if After Hours is really worth $175 at EPCOT!
In EPCOT, the events last from 10 PM to 1 AM and run from February 27th through September 25th, 2025. EPCOT After Hours ticket pricing ranges from $155 to $175 (plus tax). Specially priced tickets are available for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members, but at that steep price — is it worth it?

We checked out EPCOT After Hours this year, which comes with a whole lot of fun. But, the ticket alone also costs $155+ for non-annual passholders, and that’s a LOT to pay for a shorter day in the park — it’s basically the same price as a regular park day ticket! Luckily, it does come with much shorter waits and lower crowds, but that’s a pretty penny to spend.

While the event technically only lasts from 10 PM to 1 AM (three hours), you can actually enter the park with your ticket as early as 7 PM. You’ll still be in the park with regular-day guests, but you’ll have a chance to get a jump start on the events.
This is also when we’d recommend eating dinner — if you don’t do it before heading into the park. We say this because many of the dining locations throughout the park will be closed during After Hours, and you’ll just be left with snacks.

Not only that, but during our most recent EPCOT After Hours visit, the World Showcase was closed from Morocco to China. These pavilions don’t have any rides that are open during the event, so Disney closes them off to keep people from wandering around. It’s also likely because there are fewer places to staff.
Thinking about buying an EPCOT After Hours ticket so you can eat your way around the world? You’ll want to think again!

If you LOVE rare character appearances — or just meeting characters in general — After Hours events are quite possibly the best place to do it. You can meet several different, hardly seen characters with little to no waiting, meaning you get to see a whole lot of them at once.

And, if you love EPCOT rides, well, After Hours is probably as good as it’s going to get. When the event first started, we waited only about 35 minutes for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which was already fantastic and way shorter than the line normally is throughout the day. But then, even later that night — right before the park closed — the ride was a total walk-on.
Keep in mind that you can hop into line at Disney World rides all the way up until park close — as long as you’re in line before then, you should be able to have one last ride!

Ultimately, only you can decide if you think an After Hours event at EPCOT is worth it to you, but if you’re someone who loves EPCOT rides with no waits, rare characters, and free snacks, it just might be!
