Disney World is changing!

There have been so many changes at Disney World just in the past year. Rides have closed and opened with a new theme, snacks have come and gone, and even Disney’s pay-to-skip-the-line system got a new name and update. Change is hard to cope with, especially for Disney Adults who miss the way that the parks used to be. No park is safe from the changes, including Disney World’s original park, Magic Kingdom.
We reached out to the ultimate Disney fans, you, our amazing readers, to see what changes you are sick of in the Magic Kingdom, and overwhelmingly, you all agreed that two changes need to stop!

Disney fans first shared that they are tired of the Magic Kingdom’s rides and attractions closing to be re-themed and or replaced. Magic Kingdom has already started to undergo many closures to kick off the new year. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed for an over a year-long refurbishment, and the Astro Orbiter, along with the Hall of Presidents, have also closed temporarily for refurbishment. These attractions will see some changes, but the good news is that they are not being re-themed.

On the other hand, just last year, Magic Kingdom opened Tiana’a Bayou Adventure, which was previously Splash Mountain, and the Country Bear Jamboree got an update from its original show.

Even more, changes are about to hit Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland as Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America are set to close to make way for a new Cars expansion.

Based on the concept art, it seems like the Rivers of America will be drained and paved over to allow easier access to the new expansion. No closing date has been announced yet, but we expect it to be imminent, as Disney shared that they plan to start working on the new area this year.

There is some good news: Villains Land, which will be a brand new land part of the Magic Kingdom, is not replacing any attractions. For now, it just seems that Big Thunder Mountain’s lengthy refurbishment is to accommodate the construction of the new land.

It is not only attractions and areas of the park that can be changed, but not even snacks are safe. One Disney fan shared that they are tired of Disney “taking the favorite snacks and foods away and replacing them with items that barely compare.”

One of our favorite snacks, the waffle sandwiches from Sleepy Hollow, mysteriously disappeared last summer. When we woke up the following day, we were shocked to see that they were replaced with Mickey waffles that have different toppings. Although we do like that you can have a Mickey waffle at all times of the day, we have to say we miss the waffle sandwiches and wish they would make their return.

Walt Disney did say that Disneyland will be a place of change, and the same goes for Disney World! Although it can be hard to deal with the change, more changes and closures are set to hit Disney World this year in the other three parks as well.

I had been going to Disney World for over 40 years, and it’s always been great and also timeless. So why do they need to keep removing timeless attractions? And why would they possibly demolish the general scheme and layout of the entire Magic Kingdom park, which is iconic and something that should last forever, by changing Frontierland into a car’s land. Frontierland is continuous with the other lands by setting it as a theme. Cars Land is only set after a movie. It doesn’t go! Anyone who thinks it does go is an idiot, including the Disney management and the Disney imagineering decision makers.
Just look at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, if you can without cringing. It’s a total disaster! It doesn’t go in the park and it tells absolutely no story whatsoever, not even the one told in the Princess and the Frog movie. Yes, it’s got beautiful scenery and some amazing animatronics, but they’re not arranged into any kind of order that would tell any kind of story. They’re just there not doing anything. Beautiful scenery with no story at Disney world is like a serving hungry people beautiful plates with absolutely zero food on them on Thanksgiving Day. In other words, it’s just absurd. Another way to look at it is that the animatronics are doing absolutely nothing but enjoying themselves and their beautiful surroundings. They do nothing in the way a storytelling, which is what their job is supposed to be. If it sounds a little bit like DEI and affirmative action, it should be no surprise because that’s what the people who made it are all about… hiring people based on quotas who are not qualified to do their job and therefore end up doing nothing.
I think we should by the Disney company and put an immediate stock to all of this garbage that the current management is doing and taking a wrecking ball to work of that once in a lifetime genius, Walt Disney, and kick these woke idiots and liberal incompetents out the door.
