“Couples Only!” Disney Fans Are Begging for These CHANGES at Magic Kingdom

There really is no other park like Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom

It’s no secret that Magic Kingdom holds a special place in our hearts, but even the most magical place on earth has room for improvement. To that point, we thought we’d reach out to you and get your takes on what changes you’ve been begging for at Magic Kingdom.

We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “What changes are you practically BEGGING to see at Magic Kingdom?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

What do you think?

Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!

More Late Hours, Please!

Late-night hours at Disney parks are definitely a vibe, and to that point, our reader Amanda chimed in with a sentiment many shared: “Way more late hours. Epcot should not close at 9:00 it’s ridiculous!”

There’s something magical about wandering the parks under the stars. Whether it’s the cooler evening air, shorter lines, or the breathtaking nighttime views, late hours are an incredible experience. Magic Kingdom, can we get a little more moonlit pixie dust, please?

Benches, Benches, and More Benches

Now, what to do while you’re waiting for family members on rides or catching a parade? Many of you expressed frustration over the lack of seating options. For example, Kat wrote, “More benches available at rides such as Tron. Some of us don’t ride it or are waiting with the family littles.”

Would love to see more bench seating like this at Magic Kingdom

Amanda McCormick agreed, adding, “More benches/seating along Main Street for parades…and bring back free ride ‘appointments’ like they had with the kiosks.”

Having enough seating isn’t just about comfort; it’s also about accessibility. Parents, older visitors, and anyone with mobility concerns deserve plenty of spots to sit and relax without scrambling for a curb or ledge.

Lower Prices and Better Dining Options

Justin echoed the request for more seating, and he brought up a couple of other key issues like affordability and food quality. “More seating. Lower prices….Better table service food quality. Mary Poppins meet and greet.”

Now, we’re all for even better dining options. Yes, please. While Disney food can be iconic, there’s always room to elevate the table service experience, especially when guests are paying premium prices. Plus, who wouldn’t love to see Mary Poppins strolling through the park?

Bring Back Free FastPasses!

The discontinuation of free FastPasses is still a sore spot for many of us Disney fans, and Tish summed it up perfectly with, “Bring back free fastpass!”

FastPass Kiosk

This one was echoed again and again in the comments. The old system made planning easier and added value to your ticket. While virtual queues and Lightning Lanes have their pros, the simplicity and fairness of the FastPass system is missed by so many.

Dream Lights and Rivers of America

We can all agree that Disney magic is all about those nostalgic touches, and some of you were sharing that you’d love to see some beloved things make a return. For example, Alison shared, “The dream lights for Christmas 🥺”

Meanwhile, Ally expressed her feelings about a classic feature: “More places to sit and enjoy the ambience. Also change their mind on destroying the Rivers of America!”

These elements tie into what makes Disney so special: cherished memories and timeless experiences. It’s no wonder many of us want to hold on to these beloved pieces of the park.

Tomorrowland Speedway Overhaul

Yes, the Tomorrowland Speedway is a staple of Magic Kingdom, but many of you think it’s time for an update. To that, Rebecca suggested, “Tomorrowland Speedway redo.”

Finley took it a step further, saying, “Replace Tomorrowland Speedway.”

A refresh could bring this ride into the 21st century, perhaps with eco-friendly vehicles like EV’s or a futuristic theme that fits better within Tomorrowland.

Date Night for Parents

How about a little magic for the grown-ups? On that note, Carol had a unique suggestion: “Date night on Friday nights. Couples only. Disneyland used to have Friday night date night! Give some parents a night out for fun without the kids!”

Parents often spend their Disney days focusing on their kids, but what if they could have a special evening just for themselves? We’d love to see Disney explore this one!

  1. Tomorrowland Speedway should be replaced with cars that have steering wheels that work. All parks need more seating near food vendors so we don’t have to do trash can table time. I would like the parks to place value on the quiet places (Rivers of America). We could have used some late nights on Christmas week (12/26/24-1/1/25). Everybody wants free fast passes. We got 6 in a day with the multi-pass.

  2. I am not disabled but last year I was having hip and knee problems and needed a wheelchair. After that experience I thought it would be nice if Disney put a walkway all around the park that was for people in wheelchairs and scooters. When you are in one of those devices people don’t pay attention. They cut in front of you and crowd you out. If Disney had a designated walkway all around the park it would alleviate frustration for people with an assistive device and the people rushing to get to wherever they are going.

  3. I agree about the benchs. One thing i would really like is to see is the das pass be an actual disability pass that is give to people who are disabled and need it. Right now hardly anyone gets it. Im disabled and have a service dog and until tjid year habe alwaus got one.The new system dosent work for everyone. Despite what disney claims not all lines, or even other things on the park are handicap accessiable. Many linrs have plaves thst afe hatd for larger or electric wheelchairs to navigate, the samd for moblilty scooters. Which both didabled and elderly people use.

  4. After paying dearly just to get in the park I refuse to pay more just to ride a few of my favorites. I pay enough when I walk through the gate. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back FastPass!!!!!!!!!

  5. Went to Disney last month with 5 other friends. Ages ranged 65 to 78. We all would have paid for a non stop tram from one of the park to the other. We could make it to the back of the park but we’re dead on our feet and almost crying having to walk back. Thankfully we did catch the boat ride. Secondly the prices on scooters is crazy.

  6. As a frequent visitor I would love to see a the perks of staying at a Disney resort return; free fast-pass system, free dining plans, having packages sent to my resort, Magical Express!!!! The nickel and diming and increased prices have priced families out of even a “value priced/season” Disney vacation. If they can afford to get there at all, odds are they won’t get into the attractions they most want to experience.
A return to Walt’s vision and bringing back the magic is in order.

  7. No question on more benches and better food as the food quality was in a slow decline until COVID when it fell off the cliff. I pine for the days of the food quality and choices of the 2000’s. What we have today is a shadow of what we once did.
