Disney Filed a NEW Magic Kingdom Permit, and This Tomorrowland Attraction DESPERATELY Needs the Proposed Upgrades

Disney World is about to be BUSY, and we don’t mean with people — we mean with all kinds of new projects going on.

Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom

Let’s just say that 2025 is going to be the year Disney World hits the ground running: we’re getting a new villains show and Monsters, Inc. land in Hollywood Studios, a Zootopia attraction and a whole new land in Animal Kingdom, an update to a classic ride and a Villains land in Magic Kingdom. Speaking of Magic Kingdom, ANOTHER ride there will be soon getting some upgrades. Yes, Disney just decided to upgrade EVERYTHING AT THE SAME TIME (or so it seems).

A new permit has been submitted showing that Disney has plans to install new projectors at Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Yes, ANOTHER Tomorrowland attraction is getting upgraded (as we previously reported, Astro Orbiter will be closing soon for an update). That’s also in addition to Hall of Presidents closing soon for an update.

However, the good news is that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin shouldn’t have to close for this particular project, as it’s just probably just regular maintenance on the ride’s projectors. However, Magic Kingdom is still going to be a bit of a mess in 2025. We’re already seeing a huge crane behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

It’s also only a matter of time before Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island close and become a massive construction site with construction walls all around. So you’ve been warned if you visit Magic Kingdom in 2025.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for more closures and construction, so check back with AllEars again soon.
