Who’s ready to set sail?

Disney Cruise Line has been busy working on its new ships (not to mention it recently announced even MORE new ships in the works), and we’ve been following along with all the updates. The next ship that will set sail with Disney Cruise Line is the Disney Treasure, and that ship just reached a very important milestone.
The Disney Treasure will set sail on its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral, Florida, on December 21st, 2024 on a seven-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise. After that, the Treasure will continue sailing with a series of seven-night sailings to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral.

The ship’s theme is adventure, so we wanted to share an update as the ship goes on its own big personal adventure. The ship completed another milestone as it was tugged down the Ems River from the Meyer Werft shipyard where it was guided toward open water…for the first time!

The ship passed by folks waving at it as it made its way to the location where it will start its sea trials, a series of tests that will make sure the Disney Treasure is ready to cross the Atlantic Ocean to make its way to its home port at Port Canaveral, Florida.

The Disney Treasure will feature a lot of firsts for Disney Cruise Line, including the first ever Haunted Mansion Parlor, a lounge devoted to all things Haunted Mansion. It will also feature the first theatrical dining experience themed to Coco, as well as the first stage show adaptation of Moana.

There’s also a pub dedicated to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, a Jungle Cruise-themed bar, a Zootopia-themed sweets shop, a Hero Zone for families, an Aqua Mouse adventure, and much, much more.
