We Can’t Believe You Haven’t Tried These Disney World Transportation Hacks Yet

When it comes to getting around Disney World the best way possible, we’ve got your back!

Friendship Boat

And if you didn’t know, there are a whole lot more ways to move about than just the OG Disney buses! We’re talking boats, the Skyliner, and even other modes of Disney transportation you probably didn’t even realize existed. So, to that point, we’re bringing you some of our favorite Disney World transportation hacks that you haven’t tried using yet!

As we were saying, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite Disney World transportation hacks, so if you haven’t tried using these quite yet, it’s time to take some notes!

The Boat Across World Showcase Lagoon

This one’s for all the EPCOT explorers out there! Did you know there’s a boat that can take you across the World Showcase Lagoon?

Take the boat!

So, instead of walking (and let’s be real, EPCOT walking is basically a marathon), go ahead and hop on the boat. It’s a super chill way to travel between the entrance to World Showcase (coming from World Celebration) and Morocco or Germany, which will give your feet a much-needed break. Plus, you can’t beat a breezy boat ride with gorgeous EPCOT views?

Skyliner Resort Hopping

Now, the Skyliner isn’t just for getting to the parks. It’s also perfect for a mini resort-hopping adventure! For example, if you’re staying at a Skyliner-connected resort like Pop Century or Caribbean Beach, you can glide over to other resorts without stepping foot on a bus.

So, instead of going to a park and then hopping another bus to check out a different hotel, just take the Skyliner from one resort to another. Trust us, the views from the Skyliner alone make it worth it!

Boats from Disney Springs to Port Orleans and Old Key West

Okay, this might be one of the most underrated transportation options at Walt Disney World. Let’s say you’re chilling at Disney Springs. Did you know you can take a boat to the Port Orleans Resorts (Riverside and French Quarter) and Old Key West?

This hack is perfect for grabbing those famous beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter or enjoying a relaxing meal at Olivia’s Café in Old Key West. Plus, the boat ride itself is so peaceful. It really feels like a hidden Disney World gem.

Friendship Boat Between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios

Who says you HAVE to take the bus or walk between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios? I want you to meet the Friendship Boat (your new BFF!). This little boat will take you between the two parks, so you can avoid the heat and save your energy for actual fun.

Whether you’re hopping between parks or staying at a nearby resort, this is the low-key travel option you didn’t know you needed.

Park at Hollywood Studios, Take the Skyliner to EPCOT

Here’s one we’re sure you’ve never tried and it can take your park-hopping to the next level: instead of parking at EPCOT and walking forever from the entrance through World Celebration just to get to World Showcase, park at Hollywood Studios.

Skyliner Station at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Then, hop on the Skyliner and ride it straight to the back entrance of EPCOT at the International Gateway, which drops you off right at World Showcase. You’ll get direct access to all your favorite countries and skip the crowds at the front of the park. It really is a game-changer!

  1. My family has stayed at the Dixie Landings/Port Orleans Riverside multiple times and we have taken the boat to Disney Springs every time. It would feel weird not to.
