I Tried the Viral Tower of Terror Cookie at Disney World. Here’s Why It Was Worth the Trouble To Get It

It is no secret that there are so many delicious snacks to try at Disney World, and sometimes these snacks go viral.

The Viral Cookie Dough Croissant

There are classic Disney World snacks like churros, Mickey pretzels, DOLE Whip, popcorn, and Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars. While we love these snacks, they are pretty easy to find around the parks and resorts, but there are specific snacks around the resort that are tougher to find

We take snack hunting very seriously. We are willing to make sure we have our Advance Dining reservation to get the famous ‘Ohana noodles (or we order them next door at Tambu Lounge). We go to resorts to get snacks like Mickey beignets over at Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter. We are even willing to bear the long lines at Gideon’s Bakehouse to try their massive and delicious cookies (or we head over to their other location outside of Disney World). While we will put in the work to try these Disney World treats, there is one snack that seems even more challenging to get, and that is the Terror Cookie.

‘Ohana Noodles

Near the exit of the Tower of Terror, there is a Joffrey’s Coffee stand where you can pick up your favorite Joffrey’s drinks to get you caffeinated and continue your day in the park. This stand also sells classic Joffrey’s pastries and other treats, but there is one treat that you can only get at this specific stand behind Tower of Terror.

Tower of Terror Joffrey’s Stand

This exclusive cookie is called the Terror Cookie. This purple cookie is a sugar cookie with white chocolate chips, Oreo bits, and a dusting of cinnamon sugar on top. If you did not guess from the name, the cookie takes inspiration from the Tower of Terror.

This cookie is hard to come by and often sells out each day. Not only have our reporters had a tough time getting a hold of one to try, but when our team goes in our free time, we sometimes come up short and arrive at the stand after the cookie is sold out. However, we did talk to a Cast Member when we finally got our hands on one, and they said that sometimes it can be rare for the cookie to even be put out.

When we finally got to try this ghost of a cookie, we LOVED it. It was so moist and soft, which may have come as a surprise from the outside look of the cookie. We know this is controversial, but we found it to be even doughier and softer than a Gideon’s Bakehouse cookie. We liked that the cinnamon flavor came out strongly. We did not think the Oreos were super flavorful, but the white chocolate chips were soft.

If you plan on rope-dropping attractions like Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster or Tower of Terror, make sure to stop at the Joffrey’s stand before hitting other parts of the park to try this popular treat!

Overall, the Terror Cookie is worth the hassle, and we also think it is worth checking this stand when you visit Hollywood Studios. You never know; it may be there waiting for you to try. We hope that the Terror Cookie will be put out more regularly because we want to have this treat every time we visit Hollywood Studios!
