It has been a busy weekend at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event which has been full of announcements and sneak peeks.

In addition to news-filled panels like the D23 Entertainment Panel and the Disney Experiences Panel, there is also a whole convention center full of booths and previews!
While we were exploring the expo, we got to stop by the preview booth for Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and get a closer look at some of the concept art for this new resort.

This new DVC villas building is expected to open in December 2024 and you can book the rooms right now. It is located right next to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

We have been keeping an eye on the construction progress on this new resort, and with a few new pieces of concept art from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we also stopped by the resort again to see what we could find!

One of the concept arts had a boat with Moana on it in what looks like a splash pad area. We were excited to see this and we wondered if maybe you could spot it amidst the construction zone?

You could! There it is! We spotted the top of Moana’s boat peeking out from behind a pile of dirt. And they look pretty much identical.

We also took a look at the progress of what looks like the pool area. The resort definitely still has a ways to go before it opens in December 2024, but it is always exciting to see the progress and look at concept art.

At the booth, there was also concept art for what looks like a new restaurant and lounge area. You can see lots of inspiration from the Polynesian Islands within the decorations and design.

There was also a look inside of the seating area. There are some huge fish overhead, yet this area still feels modern and stylish.

Over at the construction site, we can see what looks like this area being worked on. We can see the large columns and retaining wall that was depicted in the concept art.

The booth also included a few peeks into what the new rooms will look like. It looks like at least some of the rooms will offer a kitchen area.

As well as large seating areas and what looks like a pull-down bed option behind the sofa.

There are also going to be some pretty amazing views from the rooms inside this new hotel! With its location there will be some jaw-dropping views of Magic Kingdom and the fireworks.

We will continue to keep you updated as construction continues on this new resort. Stay tuned to AllEars for all your Disney World news!
