Magic Kingdom has a LOT going on right now, we get it!
Country Bear Musical Jamboree is getting ready to reopen after a months-long makeover. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure just opened, and we’re still waiting to hear more about the major expansion project coming “beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.” However, we’ve got something more pressing to talk about right now. Magic Kingdom has canceled TWO of its shows for three weeks!
At the beginning of the park day, you can see a fun little stage show called Let The Magic Begin at Cinderella Castle. The Cinderella Castle stage also hosts Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire throughout the day. These stage shows feature characters like Mickey, Minnie, and even some Disney princesses!
Both of these are exciting, fun shows to add a little live entertainment magic to your day (as Sage says, #liveentertainmentisimportant). These shows also give you a chance to see some of your favorite characters! But starting on July 7th, both shows are unavailable to watch in Magic Kingdom, per the My Disney Experience app.
Both shows don’t list showtimes until July 28th, which means the stage will be a little quieter for a few weeks! From July 7th through July 27th, both Let The Magic Begin and Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire are unavailable.
There won’t be any shows at Cinderella Castle until Happily Ever After each night (thankfully, THAT’S still on the schedule!).
Disney didn’t make any official announcements about these changes, so Cast Members can’t verify the reason for this extended closure. Based on our experience, we have a feeling this temporary closure is due to construction.
