Disney Cruise Line is pulling out all the stops with its brand-new ships.
We just got loads of new details about the Disney Adventure, which will be Disney’s first cruise to set sail from Singapore. We’ve been getting a lot of new updates about the Disney Treasure, which will set sail for the first time later in 2024. That means there’s been a lot of progress made on the new ship, and we’ve got the latest update.
The Disney Treasure is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Right now, construction is underway on decks 11 and 12. A new progress photo shows how the foundations for one of six pools has been laid into an elevated platform while the forward funnel is waiting for a jumbo LED display to be installed. You can also see the funnel stage taking shape, as well as the tubing for the AquaMouse attraction.
The AquaMouse premiered on the Disney Wish, and it’s Disney’s first “attraction at sea.” The ride features a 2-seater ride vehicle that takes you through a tunnel where you’ll be whisked away on a wet and wild adventure with Mickey and Minnie.
Perhaps the most exciting addition to the Disney Treasure is the Haunted Mansion Parlor, a Haunted Mansion-themed lounge. The lounge will feature a custom musical score inspired by the original ride while you sit and imbibe on specially-themed alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The experience is expected to be fully immersive and feature iconic Haunted Mansion characters.
Disney also recently revealed that the Disney Treasure will feature anAristocats-themed lounge. The Scat Cat Lounge will have loads of hidden details for Aristocats fans to spot, including Toulouse’s paw prints on the piano’s keys. You’ll also find fun Aristocats-themed cocktails here.
The Disney Treasure will set sail on its maiden voyage on December 21st, 2024, and bookings are available now for Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises on the ship.
