Okay, this one is for our Haunted Mansion fans — that includes us because it’s one of our favorite rides.

Well, if you’re as obsessed about Haunted Mansion as we are, we bet you’ve been collecting ALL the merchandise, watching the movie over and over, and making plans to ride the attraction MULTIPLE times during your next Disney World or Disneyland trip. However, something NEW is coming soon, and it’s a Haunted Mansion bar!
The one thing you need to know about the new Haunted Mansion bar, though, is that you’ll have to book a Disney Cruise to see it. The lounge was recently announced for the newest ship in Disney’s fleet, the Disney Treasure.

Disney revealed a first look at some concept art that revealed new details about the bar, and, well, you’ll certainly want to become one of its happy haunts. Who doesn’t want to slide up to a bar and see the Hitchhiking Ghosts there ready to follow you back to your cabin?

The idea behind the bar is that a captain who had a “disastrous dinner with his beloved fiance” is your Ghost Host at the new digs. Yep, it sounds like he made the mistake of falling for Constance Hatchaway, the Haunted Mansion’s serial killing bride. Oops.
However, we can’t help but wonder is this the infamous Captain Bartholomew Gore who was included in the original concepts for the Haunted Mansion, but who didn’t make it into the final ride? Or is it Captain Culpepper Clyne, whose crypt can be found in the Haunted Mansion cemetery?

Whatever the case, the captain is throwing a swinging wake in a parlor that looks like a classic Golden Age cruise drawing room. Think Haunted Mansion with a nautical twist. There will be plenty of Haunted Mansion details to please fans, too, like the iconic wallpaper and the purple armchair.

The bar will also feature portraits of some famous Haunted Mansion characters, as well as a few new faces. But more importantly, there will be fun Haunted Mansion-themed drinks, like the non-alcoholic Sympathetic Libations. If you prefer your drinks a bit more spirited (from regions beyond), you’ll be able to sip on things like the Ghoulish Delight.

If you’d like to drag your body to the parlor, though, you’ll need to book a cruise on the Disney Treasure. Sailings begin on December 21st, 2024 with itineraries to Eastern and Western Caribbean. Bookings for cruises are now open and you don’t even need to bring your death certificate to ride!
