“It means no worries,” and we have none as we are gearing up to celebrate a huge milestone! Just in time for the film’s 30th anniversary (Sorry, 90’s babies, we are that old.), a NEW meet & greet with characters from The Lion King has arrived at Animal Kingdom.
Located near Rafiki’s Planet Watch, the new meet & greet opportunity features two of the film’s most popular characters — Timon and Rafiki!

Appropriately enough given the location, you can meet Rafiki…
… and if you miss out, the next character cycling through will be Timon! The two characters meet on and off through out the day, taking each others’ place. So if you miss one, you can stick around to see them after the next.
Times for the meet and greet are listed on the Disney World app, so you can know exactly when to hop on the train and head over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch!
Of course, this brand new meet & greet is just the tip of the iceberg as far as Animal Kingdom goes. The park is gearing up for a MASSIVE reimagining of DinoLand U.S.A. into the Tropical Americas.
This new land may feature a massive walkthrough interactive attraction based on Casa Madrigal from Encanto, as well as a possible re-theme of Dinosaur into an east coast version of Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure (which in-and-of itself would be a full-circle moment, since Dinosaur is identical to Indy in ride system and track layout). Disney hasn’t confirmed any attractions yet, but we’ll be watching for any news!
