SO MANY CHANGES Are Coming to a Disney Resort — See Them All Here!

Disneyland Paris Resort is home to two parks — Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park.

The park is currently working on building World of Frozen, but on April 12th, they announced a TON of news regarding changes coming to their resort. Here’s what we can expect to see over the next few years!

Walt Disney Studios Park

Walt Disney Studios Park opened in 2002 and has been focused on how Disney films are brought to life (similar to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney World). In 2007, it began its expansion to include Tower of Terror, Toy Story Playland, and Ratatouille. While World of Pixar and Avengers Campus opened more recently, and World of Frozen is on the way, Disney has confirmed Walt Disney Studios Park will be undergoing a MAJOR refurbishment/rebranding.

Instead of focusing on how stories are made, they will now begin to celebrate the different worlds and lands these stories take place in. Therefore, the name of the park is changing to Disney Adventure World. In the words of Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris, “Guests will embark on a journey that blends the magic and emotion of our beloved franchises with explorations into faithfully recreated new worlds.” The name of the park will officially change with the opening of World of Frozen.

In front of World of Frozen will be Adventure Bay, which will act as “a unique entertainment stage with a 360-degree viewing area” and be a gateway to the themed universes. Additionally, World of Frozen isn’t the only new land on the way — Disneyland Paris is currently planning a new land to be opened in the years to come.

The front of the park will also be changing to represent “a vibrant, contemporary open-air movie studio before becoming special guests of a glamorous film premiere in the heart of Hollywood on a starry night.” The new entrance, called World Premiere, will open in Spring 2025.

90% of the park is being overhauled to fit this new vision, all being connected by Adventure Bay, which will be getting a new Tangled-inspired attraction called Raiponce Tangled Spin! A new restaurant called The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge will also be added.

Additionally, a new show called Alice & the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland is on its way, opening on May 25th. A new nighttime spectacular will also be added to Avengers Campus in Spring 2025.

Disney Village

Disney Village is the equivalent of Disney Springs in Disney World and Downtown Disney in Disneyland. Current shops are slowly being redesigned to match the new look, and a new shop is planned to be added in coming years — it’s “a lifestyle stop with ready-to-wear clothing, jewelry, accessories.”

The current Disney Store will also be reimagined, as will the existing LEGO Store.

Hotels

Over at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, the bungalows will be replaced to “provide a modern and comfortable experience for guests.” This renovation will begin this year and will begin to incorporate Disney characters like the Junior Woodchucks, together with Donald Duck and his friends.

Disneyland Paris Hotel also completed a massive renovation earlier this year, which was part of their Hotel Renovation plan that started in 2012.
